I have a hard start issue. If it catches on the first rev of cranking it will start right up. If it takes more than maybe two revs to start, then it goes into a real slow cranking, almost like the dizzy is way too far advanced. My bud thinks I got leaking injectors which leak so much as to cause a hydraulic near-lokc condition in one or more cylinders. Ideas, Gurus? Thanks

Sorry, I see now this should have gone in EFI tech. Mod, can you move it? Sorry for the goof!

well, first start by checking your timing belt. make sure it didn't slip.
second, if you start the car, use timing gun to check for timing.
also check your cap and rotor for wear.

timing, etc all ok, I checked with light while starting and running. a couple times since first post it has rolled right over, cranking fast and catching quickly. But in scanning the board Ihave seen others mention "leaking injectors" An that's what my more experienced friend seems to think it is. Is it easier just to replace them rather than rebuild, recondition, service, etc? The Injector Dr in Renton wants $100 per to blueprint them. I just want a reliable commuter, which it has largely been so far, knock wood(knuckles to side of head)
