I've been busy with my new little girl, so I haven't had much time to work on the car, and cash fundages are running low.

In her prestine beauty, I could just cry she was so beautiful.

Well, here they are:

These are a picture of a picture, so they are poor quality.
Got in the wreck April 11th, rear end with a small truck. Screwed up the radiator, fender, headlight bucket. Amazingly the front bumper is fine as well as the supports. Crazy shit!

I cut out the bad spot, added a new driver's side fender, all new engine mounts, new radiator, rebuilt engine and new clutch. Just needs a new headlight area and new hood and she's good to go. Oh, and added an 87 integra lip. YUMMY!

Didn't replace any windows. Windshield always had a crack. It will get change after the paint job. I won't even mask off the windshield. LOL.

Plans are to get her fixed or sell her as is. I've ran out of time and money for the time being. I'll slowly get her done if I keep it.

Yah, I sold the bike back in January for $2600. Paid $3600 and put 6000 miles on it. I only owed $1600 on the bike, so I made a thousand off it when I sold it. BTW, I've put well over $6,000 or more into my 3gee not including the $2500 I paid for it.

yay progress is comming along good :D now all ya need is a headlight setup for it :) whys the bumper all fugly? the crash didnt look like it done any damage to it other than paint. well at least now it doesnt even look like its been in a bad crash like that. im still surprised and glad how ya decided to fix it instead of dump it :D wish we had the motivation to do that to my car.

It's crazy how you take things for granted. I am excited to be almost done with getting her back to normal. I found a parts car, and am getting the rest for 35 bucks.

get some heavy duty sink oxide paint and give the car a coat of it. i sujest any of you guys that are doing major body work do this will help to prevent it from rusting out

Stripped the clip of shit. Now I need to cut off and trim it up to fit perfectly. Then I'll shoot it black to match everything. I'll have some pictures in the next two weeks after I get the headlight housing and get everything cut and mounted. I'll then weld it when I find someone to weld it.

As you can see, this clip is bent up a little. The donor car was hit in the front, but for 1/3 price ($40) I got it anyways. The salvage yard wanted $130 for this clip with the headlight. So I got a headlight for $30. So for $70 it's getting done. It will bend out with some elbow grease, I'm sure. I'm not even using half of that shit.

I bought an hvlp gun and I'm going to paint it this spring when it starts to warm up again. I bought a spoiler on ebay this week and I'm waiting for it to show up. My spoiler, headlight, led's/circuit boards (it's a secret), and corner light should be here later this week or early next week........can't wait!!!! When you get ready for a better gun after some practice, get a Sharpe HVLP Gravity Feed, with a 1.2 or 1.4mm fluid tip. Mine is a Snap-On BF700 with a 1.4mm fluid tip, but it's the same thing as the Sharpe guns, I just paid more for the Snap-On and didnt know it at the time. It does primers, basecoats, and clears great.

have you used SATA guns? we used thoes at my autobody class and they are good. also my friends dad works at a autobody shop and he said that his german gun cost like 700 bucks....

Havent used a SATA but I think they are supposed to be one of the best. You see them alot on the satellite tv shows like Overhaulin and such.

I think mine ran about $550 from Snap On, and could have got it for about $450 from the paint store with Sharpe on it instead of Snap On. Oh well, live and learn lol.

Also, make sure you have a pressure regulator with guage on your gun, and a really good filter and dessicant cartridge inline.

i have a SATA Nr2000 now probally outdated by the new styled NR3000 i bought that gun and a IWATA gun togeather for 300$ plus i got to use the gun while i was paying it off b/c i worked with the guy who i was apprentanced to and also BITE i saw the picture of the car wrecked , i am really suprised a hit liek that didnt damage and shift the front side support/ triangle apron did u measure it bolt to bolt and it was ok?

also if u need advice on anything with paint or u got questions on usin a gun , lemme know ive been doig autobody stuff professionally for 4 years now (not alot of time compared to alot of the old timers, but hey i left the busineuss working on BMW's ,benze's and orther high end cars)

It's about the same size just from looking at it. I got it off ebay $62 shipped. I payed the extra 15 for the mugen one. Quick shipping too, i payed for it like on friday and got it today. I am very happy with the quality of the steering wheel. Well worth the $62! I don't have cruise anymore, so I decided to get the wheel.

Anyone want this shift boot and nob, they are pretty nice, but I already have a nice boot and nob.

It isn't mounted into place, so it's uneven I know. I'll just solder to the stock wires and just screw the circuit board down with some small screws.

Now I'm working on my custom Guage Cluster. You will see what I'm doing later. These are going to be the sweetest guages you've ever seen. Notice the bulbs on my keyboard, they are there so I can brainstorm all day. lol Led shit is everywhere in my computer room.

Painted just the white part of the needle with uv paint. I will be doing the numbers and slashes in uv paint as well. You wonder how it will look perfect? Leave that up to me. I am going to have vinyl stickers cut and i will coat them with the same uv paint. During the day they will look normal, but at night, they will light up like there's no tomorrow. I painted the thingy silver to match my new steering wheel and my autometer guages. I'm getting excited working on this. I don't think I'm mounting any lights behind the cluster at all. I won't need them with the uv paint and uv led's shining from the front.

Just got done with my guages. Uv leds in front with uv painted needles and blue led's behind the cluster.

I need a better camera that takes nice pictures in the dark, but here ya go.
The picture doesn't show really bad ass the led's are, but in person they kick some major ass!

Damn it, I wish I had time to work on my beast. I miss driving her. The seats feel so soft to the touch. Steering wheel feels like I'm in control. The hatch sits perfectly twards the ground with those Eibachs. The engine growls and spits as it should! Even though it has 1 year old fuel in it. My poor baby will see the streets like it once did. I have some more parts on the way!! I'll be ordering a brand new hood as soon as I get my taxes done. I'm getting it from honda for $216 shipped. She should be rolling down the road in the next month!! Just have to get a new battery and do a little sanding on the roof and sides! I need to put the front upper ball joints in. I'm going to order a crossmember mount when I order the hood. I just hope the gas tank hasn't been rusting since it's been sitting for almost a year now.

Yep we're both in the same boat, poor 3G setting in the garage torn to bits, just a shell of their glorious selves. I think I have more on my plate though since mine still needs the engine rebuilt and the wire harness installed and the complete interior installed LOL. But you did some major body repairs on yours.

Cant wait for BOTH these big projects to be out on the road again :rockon:

my '86 has been down do to a: Bad Carb, Cat, Water Pump, O2 Sensor, Vacuum lines, check valves, ETC ($1,800 worth to be exact)

since the accord went down and became mine, the family has leased a 2006 Honda CR-V EX 4WD and the seats just can't compare, just the general feel can't compare.

Just count your blessings you did not ship that hood anyway. I have a new roof skin for my 2000 Ram (horrible hail damage). I had three shipments from Kellogg Idaho to DFW come in DESTROYED. The box was nice and roomy, had foam blocks at all corners to support and suspend the roof skin, and every time they came in dented, one came in completely crushed, like where the third brake light hole is, was completely flattened like it was rolled over with a forklift, but the box was still intact and had no tire marks on it. Finally the dealership in Idaho let me drive down my local dealership, and paid them to let me pick a roof skin from their stock, and it took us five boxes to find one that wasnt damaged there too. He said they constantly have to send body panels back because of incessant shipping damage.

So, like I said, never ship body panels if you can avoid it, and if you do, put it in a huge box, with tons of peanuts, and maybe put some thin sheets of plywood around the edges to super support the box edges to further reduce the chance of crushing......

Anyway back on topic, looks like you'll be on the road long before me. 2 months and I might have the car painted but I still have to rebuild my engine and finish the wire harness swap....... :help:

Mounted the hood and headlight cover on today. Even sprayed it down with some ice cold ass water. It's pretty nice outside today - about 50 degrees! Super!!! I need to fiddle with the hood and light cover to get them perfectly aligned. The stuff on the roof needs to be put on, I have to much to do!

Did some more black primering on passenger's side, and washed the car.

I started it up with out the downpipe hooked up and all the neighbors came outside to see what I was up to. They always have to see what I'm doing, since they have boring ass lives.
I drove my car down the street with the SS header on and it was only the top part that is the 4 primarys before it turns into 1. It was loud as hell, i had everyone the block looking outside. There were flames shooting out and all.
