well i hate to tell you this but ebay is the shit to geting some what decent prices on car parts....you got to knoe that you are looking for...if you hearders you get the 88-89 Lx-i header since they improved airflow and it gives you like 10hp....i would not worry about high performance stuff...i would worry about replacing stuff like timing belts, water pump, all drive belts....give it a nice tune up with new plugs and NGK wires, also make sure that the brakes are good and you have good tire pressure on all 4 tires....il say get a Legal intake since you are in california....other than that its going to cost you lots of money.....like i read on something...dudes spends 2000 bucks on his car just to make it 2 secs faster on the 1/4 mile....with 2000 bucks you can rebuild the engine

so ur saying that if i get stok 88 89 headers it will ad 10 horse power! if that is true ill go to the junk yard and get some if its true and my brakes r good my tire pressure is 35 psi on all tires so all i need to do is get new timing belts waterpump ecc..... right???

yeah read this you can see that the 86-87 have 10 less hp....and you wont get 10hp you might get 3-5...it all depends on your motor. http://accordproject.com/Specs.htm

well i dont knoe what junkyard you go to but they should be less than 40 bucks...you can also get a custom cat back system...the guy wanted 120 for a 2.25 inch...so that is not bad at all...it could give you another 4-6 hp

get a magnaflow on ebay...seriosly its the best place to use to tune your car.

here is one thats at 25 right now but it has 5 days left. i wouldnt recommend bidding more than 40 since there are some that are at 49 with a buy it now option

you could use 2" - 2.25" exhaust pipe. Especially if you still have stock parts you're not going to need much more exhaust flow.

Pacesetter header will be the cheapest. You may be able to get a used one if you take a look in the marketplace forum on 3geez or on e-bay.
