as a few of you might recall, my dad has a 1968 Mustang. Right now the engine is out of it sitting in our lift and the car is having some body work done to it. I noticed in the engine bay there was already a performance Mallory Ignition Coil. And on the engine there were really thick MSD Plug Cables. So i took the ignition coil and plug wires and installed them in my Accord. Oh and everything i took, is practically brand new, the block itself was ordered brand new (currently probly has 15 miles on it), and built up so practically no usage. And the performance gains? I think they're pretty significant. I went for a ride and noticed that revs were a TON smoother, everything was smoother, and maybe an increase in acceleration? I say ? cuz i'm not sure if that's all in my head or if it's an illusion because of the smoother ride but even my friend thought the same thing he actually brought it up to me the acceleration. I'm pretty sure it's there but i dont know. It's pretty sweet though cuz, i can really notice the differnce. Now, i REALLY want a cam gear, header, cam and stuff.

Did you measure the primary winding value and compare it with the new coil you put on?

I am interested in what kind of amperage the transister that fires the primary can handle. Since I don't have the money to replace it if I fry it by putting on a beefer coil with a high output secondary.

no i didnt measure anything really lol... But one quick question, does this kill the life of my battery? The coil i got is this one (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MAA%2D28720&N=700+4294925143+400249+4294890813+4294890810+115&autoview=sku) i think...

well sinisterfuzzy...you did it again....lol thats cool that you put in the stuff since it was free....well yeah im also thinking about geting that autozone or kragen MSD blaster 2 since lots of ppl have it. yeah they say it makes the idle a lil better and it gives more spark to the plug giving you more power...but i dont see any dynos that prove that....well if it runs fine it leave it alone. and i think the coil and the battery are independent.

yup next up is a new clutch, but idk, some people have told me to just get a straight up racing clutch off clutchnet, but would that make the drive crappy? would something like this (http://www.clutchnet.com/product.php?productid=17573&cat=0&page=1) like be alright? or how many buttons do i want they have 3, 4, and 6?
