I need to know how much it would cost to get the rear quarter of an se-i fixed? My best friends uncle is selling his 89 Sei but the Passenger side rear quarter panel is messed off. It looks like a balled up piece of paper.

What do you guys think?

Replacing a quarter panel properly and getting it painted would probably cost somewhere in the area of $1000.

yeah the rear panels are a pain to replace/fix, mine was hif from the driver side back end thus why i got my car for cheap, i got it qouted all over town, and the cheapest i found was 754 bucks and thats only in primer, if your good with welding or a slide hammer and other body work tools then have at it, good luck with it

A good friend of the family does body work for a living. To have a professional body shop fix that, it would probley be in 1,800 to 2,300 price range. Labor costs is whats going to kill you. I say do it yourself if you have the knowledge. Or just buy another 3g. For the price its going to cost to fix that, you buy a decent 3g for that price.

i used to work at a body shop and ill tell yah it wont be 1000 more liek 2k for it b/c they will wanna clear coat the sail pannel and blend everything out not to mention the labor fee , plus if its anything liek the otehr picture they wanna take apart alot of the car to "weld safely"

depending on how much of the quarter panel a shop replaces, i'd say in the neighborhood of $1400-$1800 with it painted and out the door. and since you're getting it for $400 with a over all good looking condition, i'd say go for it.
