If its been sitting a while, I'd flush the coolant, and might as well flush the brake fluid aswell.

And never a bad time to do a tune up (plugs, wires, rotor, cap.)

negative, just the opposite. Just remeber to change the wires one at a time to the new cap. Remove the old cap, rotor button slides off and the new one slide right back on.

Good luck,

I also needed to change the fuel filter I believe. The car is haveing a really difficult time starting. The oil is blacker than black and my paitence is running thin. hopefully the oil change and new filter will help to get the car started.

Well I went out and looked under my front seat and found the codes. It said that I needed a new ECT sensor. Does anyone know where that might be in the car?

Also the battery light stays on in the car. I'll change the terminals out on monday but I'm not sure if that will solve the issues. What do you guys think.

ECT sensor should be located in the thermostat housing.

That happened when my alternator started to go. I'd have a booster kit or something handy if I where you.

If you need to swap the alternator out here is a VERY VERY helpful link.
