yeah. they make H4 conversion housings, which you can look on many aftermarket sites and find. ebay you can find the lights. as for the bulbs, it will be an H4 bulb. i've never liked the output of light that the blue bulbs put out so i wouldnt recommend them. light blue tinted ones are ok. also, the ones you see that are dark blue tinted and say they have a high wattage such as 90/120 watt or something similar really arent brighter than a stock type bulb in my experiences.

lol you dont want to get blue colored lights. i believe they are illegal. if you just want the effect with better lighting and lights that are in fact legal, i say go with some silvania sylverstars H4 bulbs not the sealed beams. and please dont buy the plastic housings off of ebay for 5 bucks. spend the money for some Auto-Pal E codes so you can do the H4 conversion right.

here ill even be nice and provide some links for ya....so ive done the work for ya all you have to do is pay! :D

Buy these H4 Conversion lamps (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/200mm-H6054-H4-EURO-STYLE-HEADLIGHTS-Like-HELLA-CIBIE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQihZ014QQit emZ330007065741QQtcZphoto)

if you want to go with the best h4 conversion lights go with these...but they cost 80 bucks! (http://www.rallylights.com/hella/200mm.asp)

dont buy these or anything similar (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-89-ACCORD-DIAMOND-HEADLIGHTS-CONVERSION-KIT-H6054-H4_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQihZ004QQitemZ 140023268416QQrdZ1QQtcZphoto)

these are the sylverstar bulbs im talking about. (http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=h4+sylvania+silverstar&hl=en&hs=2JF&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=X&oi=froogle&ct=title)

and this site has colored lights that are cheap but good. make sure you get DOT approved lights though. (http://www.autolamps-online.com/index.htm)

If you're just going to get Silverstars, you should just stick with the sealed beam ones. The replacement housings I've used don't seem to be engineered at all to have the light focused. Even with high-quality H4 bulbs, the light just goes off in any direction and doesn't give you any kind of good lighting. I think they're just built to "good enough" standards.

The Silverstar sealed beams are built to DOT standards, and are built by a reputable company unlike the generic housing conversions. Even with good bulbs in them, they can sometimes seriously suck.

I think Hella makes a set for your cars that would probably work well though. Since Hella is a reputable company. If I was going to do a conversion, I'd do the Hella housings and HID. Otherwise I wouldn't waste my time. And don't run 95 watt bulbs without running a new wiring circuit. All you will do is overheat your wires and they will melt and blow bulbs out. For that matter, don't run any bulbs that are rated above 55/65 watts. It's just asking for trouble.

i decided to get the sealed beams since they were soooo much cheaper then buying the h4 housing which was like 90 dollars:omg:

but i got the silvania cool blue which apparently are street legal and are dot approved and very much less work and money so im gonna try them out tonight

and i found a set of clear front signal lights can someone tell me how to get them out and how much they would cost if they were new... thx

lol...so you went with the cool blue. and you downgraded to an 86-87 grill....

anyway just an FYI, Autopal is comparable to Hella...otherwise i wouldnt have gotten them. on the autopal's there is a line that aims the light perfectly straight. the only thing you have to adjust is to have them centered and line up the cutoff lines. easy!

how much did you get them for? i got silvania whitestars for 19.99 each so it came out to like 43.00 after taxes. my mom said that the right bulb was the original one that came on the car...since the left one burn out once...i replaced them both since one was weaker than the other one and now it makes a big diference.i bet HIDs would do that too but not worth it the money.

Crazybird

mine were 21 each canadian dollars so it came out to 45 i think in total

Thats the ONLY way to go.

The Autopals are a Hella equivelant, and yes they are a HUGE improvement over stock. Then when you add a high quality HID conversion like I have, you are talking about...........a 100% brighter, crisper output of light.
It's all about how much you are willing to invest. Because it really is an INVESTMENT. I can transfer the kit too when I get rid of the car! :)
