Hi,

I have a 86 Lxi Accord. I was able to get my alternator out from the top - by the driver's side. Had to remove some parts (I think it was the air filter), and move it around a bit, but easier than removing the axle.

depends if you have EFI or Carbureted.

EFI=remove from the top

Carb.= firewall escape

yeah you dont want to move the axle...too much work. i got to use s lift and that is how i got it...from under the car.
