yeah i was thinking the same thing about the CRX, and my exact same thoughts on the sticker too. dunno if the wheels are steelies or not though, but yeah, that thing in the bumper kinda looks like a tweeter, but that would but plain stupid.

hahaha, that's great...doesn't really look like a tweeter...and if it was it would get destroyed the first time it rains...maybe its a vacuum or exhaust of some sort?

Edit: those rims aren't steelies, you can tell by looking long enough that they are 5 spoke rims, or 5 point star rims, w/e u people call em...

tweeters can be made in plastic for special occasions like this :P

lol @ vacuum too hahaha, and i dont think it is a exhaust as it will be really hard to fab up a exhaust to fit there and it would be pretty gay unless u have real bad fumes and park next to someone you hate.

PS: mods/admins, can you make a :P smiley please

i thought of that, but why would you want 1 that has such a big round thing in your bumper, and pokes the car next to you :S

It's the vent, when you put your air system to fresh thats where the cabin air vents out through., and when you set it to rec (recycle it closes the vent.)

edit - err it's too far down in the bumper, oh well let the guessing continue.

A18A
09-11-2006, 04:16 PM
yeah the air vent is pretty much by the wheel

Just a guess, but maybe an air valve for the spare tire in the trunk. So you don't have to pull all the crap out to get to it. You can just use a pressure tester right there, if it needs air "fill er up"....

Of corse there is a line going to the valve to the tire.

Could it be a DC Shunt for a relocated battery? Dont know why anyone would relocate the battery in a FWD car to the back, but maybe it was an issue of room under the hood? Hell it's just another guess that's the best I could come up with on short notice....

A lot of people say they move them to the back for weight distribution.

snoopyloopy
09-28-2006, 09:04 PM
but why? in my eclipse, makes sense since it's awd. but since the 3g is fwd, i'd want more weight on the front since that's where the driving force is being translated to the ground. unless you're more into autox instead of drag.

anyone thought of it just being for looks? it may not be functional at all.

Its a nipple

serious, that car drives on lpg and that's the nipple you fill the tank with.

lots of cars in holland have that

3ghondaerodeck
09-29-2006, 08:21 AM
liquid petrolium gas

ottomatic
09-29-2006, 09:00 AM
i resized and lightened the area.
may be a nipple for lpg,....but i would think there would be some sort of
gas tank/neck conversion for the lp tank install
that would have to take place. just my .02¢

3ghondaerodeck
09-29-2006, 09:06 AM
no that's what all of the nipples look like in holland

...

uhm

the lpg ones that is..
and I'm pretty sure that's a lpg nipple

what the hell? a 3gee that runs on propane........

3ghondaerodeck
10-02-2006, 08:33 AM
lots of honda's do over here, especially when 1 liter of gas averagely costs 1.35 euro's. that's about $1.70 per liter, uhm.. that's.. uh $6.50 a gallon sortof

and lpg costs only .50 eurocents per liter. wich is obviously a lot cheaper.

That car belongs to one of the members on this forum. Dont really know his name. My guess would be a parking Pole found on some JDM Civics that can collapse and elongate upon activation.

Liquid Petroleum Gas? Is that the same thing as propane? I thought that petroleum is what you regularly run in your gas tank... that stuff that costs people $6.50/gal. Is there some kind of switch to go between either tank? Is that an aftermarket conversion? So many questions!

3ghondaerodeck
10-02-2006, 11:40 PM
yeah, petroleum is what you normally run. that'll cost you $6.50/gal. and I guess lpg is the same as propane..
you get ann extra tank in the trunk that replaces the spare tire or you can get an extra tank that's in your trunk and you can keep your spare tire, needless to say you loose a lot of trunk space
you get an extra switch on your dash wich converts the fuel going to your engine. older cars have to start on petrol and when their warm ride on propane/lpg
it's as aftermarket as it can get. from 1999 in every Honda brochure stated that no honda runs on propane unless stated otherwise. wich is basically none.

i think that answers your questions 2ndgenguy

i saw it once in one of those jdm brochures

why would it be keyless if it has a keyhole? :-/

what i think he means is like a alarm remote...you point at it and it should unlock the car...so you dont need a key

okkkk so whats this?
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d106/89accord/thingy.jpg
it came with no hose on it when i got it, and you can see its not shiny were a hose should be so it's been off for some time. i applied vacuum and sometimes randomly, it makes the car run even smoother, steady idle, even less pressure out the exhaust and no putt, sounded like a NORMAL car for once, i was surprised, but when i turned it off and back on it went all shitty again, and no vacuum could get it how it just was properly, only worked like 3 times :( but yeah, what is it?

maybe i shoulda made a new thread in carb tech?!?!??!?!?!? but i dont wanna be flooding that section now do i

lol i typed this about 5 hours ago and 4got 2 click the submit button :(

Looks like it could be some sort of deceleration valve for the air suction system.
