i think a stock replacement should be good if these cars last 20 or so years on the origonal 1

ok this will be the third clutch the first one was on from grandfather when he bought the car in 89 to maybe 99 or early 2000 then my uncle got the car and burnt the clutch so he replaced it so that happend in like 1999 or 2000. then my dad got the car in like 2001 or2002 and then the trans went bad i think it was the synchros this happend back in early 06 so we replaced the trans and since we were in that area we replaced the clutch also. do you think i should spend more money and get a exxady clutch or what ? i tend to chirp the tires from time to time so should i go with higher quility? my mechanic said i should resurface the fly wheel? thanks for the help

putting in new clutch without resurfacing or replacing the flywheel is a waste - much like new brake pads/rotors without replacing/resurfacing the counterpart.
if you are going to the trouble to replace the clutch, go ahead and replace everything (disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, flywheel).
do it right and it will last a lot longer.
