Front Bumpers

I might get bashed a bit for this... but personally i like the look of the 86-87 bumpers and hatch bumpers better than my lxi bumper. so i'm looking for one of these bumpers to replace my current (cracked from flying tire) bumper. so i have two questions.

1. does anyone know where i can get one cheap and or have one to sell to me?
2. will it just attach straight up, i heard that i might need the bracketry from an 86-87?

so if someone can please answer me these questions i would be very happy. thanks in advance guys.

You just need the mounts.

do you know what they look like... or is it like completely obvious if i took the bumper off?

I think it's how it connects the bumper to the fender. I only use 3 bolts to hold my bumper on... one near the hood latch and two on the fenders.

you could also hide away zip ties for a quick fix... not too hard.

I think the bumper has a plastic bit that is screws in to the side and then slides over a button piece... that button is what is bolted to the car fender.

No, the mounts are the ones that connect to the front frame underneath the headlights and under the grill. The fender ones are the same.

oh, I would sell mine but hell with it. Maybe I should just get the rest of the work done to it first instead of sitting inside the house JO on the computer... lol

actually i was looking for 88-89 front bumpers because they fit the teggy lips and i like the clear bumber lights instead of the orange ones that the 86-87 ones have but i will sell you mine for a reasonable price buti haven't found any good condition 88-89 ones

If you didnt live so far away I'd sell you my bumper. It has a few scrapes, nothing major. I'm replacing both bumpers as part of my resto-repair job that's going on while I do my PGM-FI swap. Just want to start fresh with all the paint work I'm doing. The main thing I dont like is the small scuff on the black trim on the bumper that bugs me, that's the main reason I want to replace it, since it wont get painted over.
