Silly question perhaps, but do I need to drain out my oil before I start using synthetic oil or can I just add it to what I have already? (I'm running a bit low too)

Well of course you can just add it, but to do synthetic I would do an oil change, especially considering it's not synthetic in there now. I did hear however that with the components the synthetic have they will cause the regular oil to break down (dunno if that is true). So IMO I would take out the old oil, might as well.

Synthetic and conventional motor oil are OK to mix. And the synthetic will not cause the regular motor oil to break down faster.

Hmm ok thanks. Even if it did something with the other oil, there isn't much in there anyways. Well I better go pick up some oil then :D
