if this was to happen you would have to make the matching center peice that has the lisence plate holder (lighting on trunk lid), haveing just the outside tails done would look like crap in my opinion

just get some nightshades.......clear is more harder....i kinda like frantic's but i also like the all smoked one also...depends on what color car they are on.

yeah the color of the car helps, and i kinda want to stear away from night shades becuse it dims the lights down from going thew the red then the black, if there were all clear tails i would night shade them and they would look hella better and not be so dim, or just make them darks from the factory

Hatchback models were only made for the US market. Same goes for the Coupe. The tails on the car you are referring to are a result of photoshopping. HTH

I don't know which repair manual you are refering to, so I can't explain why there would be a hatch in the EDM Manual. Perhaps you are looking at the aerodeck models which were widely available in both the EDM and the JDM markets? Yes, Coupes were exported, but built in US and mainly sold in US. Hence in my humble opinion, the Coupe design was mainly targeted at the American market. Good job on using paint for monochroming the lights, didn't know that you could do that without photoshop.

I made them. I sold them a while back but i want to make some more but just with some LED lights behind the refraced inner leses so i don't have to paint the bulbs red. Never had a problem with them or got stopped by the cops but i would just check in yur state on the laws. They do go better with the color i have. I changed the front turning light to the JDM ones so i'm debating on staying with the stock or going back to clears

I haven't made the leds but if i did them it would make the lights more legal then the ones i hade. plus right now i'm in Afghanistan right now so there's nothing i can do right now except save money. As far as my new car Most people have seen it by now plus i don't think there's 2 many peps wanting to ssteal a hooked up 87 accord that dosen't run right now with the dizzy and ECU disconnected. Nope, nothing new. Last thing I did on it was the brake upgrades with s/s brake lines, AEM pads, and Brembo cross-drilled rotors. Been focusing lately on getting my EJ Civic coupe done so I can drive it by spring time. Lately I've been driving a 93 Camry which I repainted last summer and did limo tint on all the windows.

Them 'lude lights dont look too bad.

But for a 3g you would probably have to put one large round circle on the outside piece, and one large round circle on each end of the trunk piece. As far as the 3g being too boxy for a round tail light, the car that made this look famous (Skyline) aint all that rounded either. It dont look too bad on the 'vettes either though. About the only car I can think of that is rounded enough to look like round tails would "fit" would be the volkswagen beetle.

Seriously, what other shapes could we use to get a custom look? We started with boxy looking bars. Jelly bean shape? Triangular? Maybe a football shape. Hehe maybe we could give it a really really asian look. Long thin football shapes like an eye. A round center for the brake / turn signal and the eye edges for the marker lights.

Maybe stick with the bars but make them smaller with a chrome or carbon fiber border separating the different sections and surrounding them? This could probably be accomplished with an overlay of some sort. Might be fairly simple to make straight bars of some sort outa carbon fiber.

Or how about something to make the tails look a bit more like the front corners and headlight cover pieces? Almost louvered looking.

that is one of my most favorite tail light conversion on the 3gee. simple and matches pretty easly looking to do. i'd probably have the brake lights where they are but have a retangular orange blinker underneath all in one housing.

Those lights look like they are from either an R30 or R31 Skyline. I could be wrong though.

Let me know what it is that you want and then i'll find out. i'll be buying them from a yard that has a whole lot of older Honda parts... i've bought heaps from them when doing my own repairs.

Postage would have to be looked into too... tail lights shouldn't weigh too much cause they're just plastic...would you want the wiring as well?

In terms of what JDM parts i have access too then i'd say that there isn't anything i wouldn't be able to get with a little searching....
