View Full Version : Auto Up feature pics....

I plan on doing the Auto up mod, but i can't see a single one of the pics... All I'm getting are :redx: ! If anyone might have these pics, or can get them to me somehow, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'll try to get them uploaded again. My webspace magically dumped its contents into the vast depths of cyberspace. Luckily they are still on my computer at home.

dude were have you been? this was the shit like 3 months ago...lol....i went to the junkyard to get some switches but the se-i got my attention and i forgot to take the damn switches...ima go tomorrow and see wut i can find.

Actually, I did this mod about a year ago but the How-To sat around on my hard drive forgotten for a while.

This is a VERY useful feature IMO

Lol, I have an extra contact and lead with the connector for the harness if anyone wants it! then all you need to do is mod your switch so it works! i can mail it in a letter it's so small!

This is a VERY useful feature IMO

I use it all the time now :) Very useful with manual cars as well since it minimizes the amount of time it takes to roll up a window. Definitely nice when you also need to hold the wheel and shift.

:werd:Thanks for re-uploading the pics! I did mine from memory and it looks pretty close to yours, but I forgot to add the little groove to limit up travel and give it the "click" for auto up. i'll be installing the switch tomorrow, Thanks again!!!!

ya its super-usefull on my car :D dont have to get sum1 to hold the switch while i pul the window up

Ok, i finally got around to installing my auto up switch. Hooked it up and no workie. I went on the shop manual and looked at the checks for the wiring. I checked the switch in every position. for auto up there should be continuity between all 3 contacts on the "up" side of the switch. I tested mine and there is good contact between all 3. The switch functions fine for all other normal operations. What do you guys think? bad controller box? Motor? The auto down works fine...

Ok, I tested the output from my modified switch to the control unit and it all checks out ok. I'm thinking my control unit is no good. I'm gonna get another and try it out. if i replace that and it still doesn't work, then I know it's the motor. It's kinda screwy anyway so it might be that.
