The crankcase has a positive vent to the airbox that can cause oil to show up on the airfilter. It's a black hose on the right side of the valve cover that leads to a small box on the right side of the aircleaner. There is some filter media in that little box that is supposed to stop oil and only let the crankcase fumes through. If that media is laden with oil, it can cause oil to show up on the airfilter because it can no longer hold any more oil. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

evn if you change that, most likely it will clog up again.
chenage ytour PCV valve and you should be good to go.

if its on the side where air is coming in then that is definatly it...if its on the opposite you mighta blown an o-ring...

There's not a REALLY bad oil leak is there? I figure you'd know this, but I once saw an engine that wouldn't start because the air filter was saturated with oil...and oil all over the block. Check the PCV valve, like was said, and also check your valve cover gasket and such.

Bad rings will cause this, along with a buggered pcv valve

learn somethin new everyday... never thought bad rings would do this!

bad rings will allow combustion pressure into the crankcase, causing oil leaks and excessive oil "return" via the PCV breather line. The pressure has to escape somewhere.

 never thought of it that way, Sounds logical to me.
