I have been torn between lots of bodywork and $$$ and selling my 3gee, considering the cash i'd be dumping in. Just curious as to how much everyone has tossed into thiers? and if there is any regrets?

For the car, $1800CDN... And in parts and such so far, somewhere in the neighborhood of $5-6000.

And so far I dont regret anything, I can't wait till spring though, no way i'm starting to install stuff with winter around the corner.

ive probably spend about 1k or so not to bad for a 17 year old car. The most expensive was the reaplacing the clutch and speed sensor unit (235 bucks and that was due to a shop fucking it up, never go with the cheapest shop. ive learned my lesson) i think ive had it really cheap with this car not to shabby and il probably spend around 200 this months since im going to replace my brake pads and rotors.

Hmmm About 9k like Accord Epicenter. But thats with a soon to be installed B2oa and all the other cutom work that is dne to the car. I don't regret putting that much into my 3gee because its realiable and I plan on having it for another 10 years. Not to mention its really good on gas lol.

i have about $500 in the one i have now. that's the price i payed for the car. i only plan on making the car run well stock for now. the body isn't up to snuff for what i want to do. i'll drive it pretty much as is with only the repairs, then sell it and break even. i just need something that's cheap to run. eventually, i'll have an LXi.

car - free
maintenance right after we got it to fix some electrical bugs + timing belt and all that stuff - $1100
alternator - $300
starter - $300
pioneers at all 4 corners - $120
brake pads - $80 (because i bought some, then they got lost, so i had to go buy more)
oil changes - $120
wipers - $20
dcs headers + hi-flow cat + full cat-back - $350
civic sri - $15 (gotta love walmart)
teg sri - $18 (+ $18 shipping)
4g tb - $50
steering wheel radio controls - $30
armrest - $45
eq - $30
battery - $40

so i've probably spent about $700 total on stuff not related directly to maintenance. not bad, not bad at all. now i feel better about thinking about spending money on a turbo set-up.

On mods alone + price of vehicle without adding up the cost parts that need replacement , i would have spent about 13k.

Parts maybe another 2k if that - hondas are good like that :)

holy moly... I guess the car speaks for itself though, so clean. and back in 93 our cars cost quite a bit. I think my dad paid $11,000 for our old se-i, which was a really good deal back then.

3gee = free
Repairs and parts I've replaced since I've had the car = around $600
Upgrades = around $200
Wheels = free(trade)
Tires = $142
Misc = At Most $200

So I'm at about $1142 :)
All my turbo parts I have so far were free....hoping to keep it that way while gathering more. :)

this year i havent done lots of modding like i would like but i got
tint, 2 way alarm, finished installing my stereo set up, exhaust done. and then finish up the header as soon as i find my missing piece.

i'd say about $1k-$1500 and its not running at the moment.

Hans
06-03-2007, 09:31 AM
3gee = free
brake repairs = 500
replace clutch (stock) = 700
fix stripped spark plug hole = 500
soon a rear main trans seal = 400?
paint = 1500
audio = 275
exterior = 60
interior = 70
exhaust = 300
engine dress up and misc = 40

So... $4345 including a yet to be fixed rear main seal, and except for a muffler my car is stock performance wise. I've driven her hard at times, but she keeps asking for more. And not really any of the repairs were from my driving, mostly passage of time. I love the 3gee and will never get rid of her.

I stopped counting at $15k and was like what the hell is wrong with you...But i love my car and still have the will to finish it even though it is no where near done. Body work can be very expensive depending on who you know or what you want but if you like your accord enough its worth it.

10k+ and that reminds me i need to stop rebuilding shit.
i still have full head work to be done, and find a way for the trans to hold a shit load more tourque.
i am looking for 25-35lbs of boost in the coming years.
i already have like 5 grand more spent before i even have it.
