i have an 89 prelude and the clutch pedal is acting weird. i dont think its the clutch, but im dont know. when i push down the clutch it doesnt always come back up, and when it does it doesnt go back down with the same amount of pressure, it seems "lose". it doesnt do it all the time, but it does it a lot. it seems to help "sometimes" if i push down the clutch pedal a few times before i put it in first gear. today it was cold outside and it didnt want to shift at all. the car starts fine and doesnt smell like burning clutch. anyone have any ideas? could the clutch cable be going bad or the pedal?...? thanks

Have to agree on the clutch cable, also make sure the return spring on the pedal is ok.

i'll check it better tomorrow, but i went to auto zone today and they said they can get clutch cables for 89 preludes! they told me to try a junk yard or the honda dealership! anyone have trouble with this before?

screw autozone, go to advance auto parts. they should have it. plus i am sure you can get one from 3G or 2G integra to fit.
I know 2G teg one fits on 3G accord without problem. the only diff is how long they are. 3G one is a lot longer.
