I'm trying to fix or find a good dizzy for my car. I see in the FAQ's about these two and that the Hitachi is the better one. Can I use either one or just what was on my car already. I have TEC and its a piece of shit.

thx, Is there anything I can do to make this thing any better? The weights seem to move up and down to much and I think that's the "rocks in the dizzy sound" I read a lot about. Those little brass bushings are crap in them.

i just rebuild my spare distributor.
If you go to autoparts store, you may be able to get advance spring kit. it would be for HEI chevy/GMC distributor, you can use the springs.
unfortunaly we don't know how strong are those springs because honda manual doesn't explain it.
clean the old grease with miniral spirits or nail polish remover. I used my wifes with lemon flavor so i don't pass out from fumes.
put some high speed wheel grease back on, and put it back.
