Well i got my car back 2 days ago, and its been a blast. It's also been progressing nicely in its project stages since. Since friday afternoon when i got it back ive already done the following things:
replaced both knuckles
finally got a heatshield for my header
picked up some wheels/tires for cheap (ignore the painted hubcaps, im going to refinish them in gloss black/gm soon. Tires are Road Hugger GT's with about 95% tread)
relocated my vafc2 to the dash
ordered new inner/outer tie rod for the pass side (premium quality from napa, cost me $50 total for both, its nice knowing the manager lol)
---------------
still on my "to do" list i have:
paint hubcaps (as mentioned)
install front and rear lip (need a helping hand for this one)
order a single din blockoff plate (to help complete the vafc2 relocation)
get a radiator fan (found one that'll fit, off a 5th gen prelude)
4 wheel alignment
get my alarm working again (somethings messed up with it, its like the antenna for the alarm isnt sensing the pager/remote is sending any commands and its out of range)
DIY CTR headlights
Overall, im happy with the way things are progressing. These past few days have been pretty busy with progress on the car. So im happy.
Now onto the pics!
Here are some pics from last night/today.

Glad to see your car back up and running again and nothing happened to that beautiful engine. You got lucky. Looks like the bodyshop did a good job. How does it ride? Do you feel any weird noises from the front? The color looks great.

Isn't that the truth... I love having a garage, especially in winter... -40c can kiss my ass.

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!

-May 17th, Audi TT creamed by truck

-Nobody's insurance wants to pay...

-time goes onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...

-FINALLY repaired and returned 9/10/06

...only to blow a coupler off :D
That took all of 3 hours and $0 at the dealer to replace.

But seriously, my CONVERTIBLE was gone the ENTIRE summer!!! :( 5 months!

the tie rods on the passenger side are jacked (both inner and outer) but i ordered new ones and i gotta pick um up today or tomorrow.

A header for the H22 wont do anything for it except make more noise, unless i go with a custom even length "snake" header. Im not wasting my money ($450+shipping specifically) for a DC sports, or anything like that. Ill wait and spend $650-$700 on a JSMC custom even length and wait 2 months to get it before i buy a DC header thats the EXACT same runner size, exact same bends... just ceramic coated. lol, not flammin you, just pointin out the facts.

As for time: VIS is what slowed EVERYTHING down. Not the bodyshop itself. Once all the parts came in, it took them a total of 30 labor hours to get it all back together (including paint time, frame rack time, etc. etc.)

Hey Halxi, I dunno if you know this, but do EK coupe rear bumpers fit EG coupes? I was thinking of getting this rear bumper off a 99 Si for a good deal (if it fits) for my EG/EJ coupe.

the side skirts (rocker panel/coverse) can be modded to fit, but i dont believe the rear bumpers can... theyre a little bit wider. But i'll double check and edit my post here in about 5 minutes..... EDIT: no, the rear bumper wont fit, the 6th gen is a little wider, and i believe the wheel well-trunk length is a little longer. Not much, but enough to make it look bad if you try to swap.

Planned rims are either:
Rota Auto-X, royal black with a polished lip
(like so)

(like so)

That paint matches real good for you or anybody else not knowing what the color (code) is. Hubcaps on there now are ugly, but thats just my opinion. Auto-X's sound like a good idea, but not in 15's. I think those civics look better w/ 16's. So if the Auto-x's aren't available in 16's, then I would get the circuit 8's.

auto-x's only come in 15"
