ok heres a small project I've got going,it's too cold out to do much outside today,so I'm repolishing the brackets I made to hold the power steering hose and Ac hose over the exaust manifold.
these are usually purple,but the paint had become damaged,so I have already beadblasted it off. when they are done being polished they will get a candy purple(of course) that is translucent
ok the brackets themselves,these have two pieces that attach to the bosses on the exaust manifold

the part that attaches to the manifold gets painted with black engine paint

since these are billet stock and media blasted,I used clover compound(valve grinding compound) to smooth out the aluminum first,with a dremel

I use a small felt bob both for the clover compound and the polishing compound

I'm out of mothers right now so I'll polish tomorrow,this is the bracket at the very front of my engine,you can see it in most of my pictures
