Looks and runs better? Not such a good way to start off in a forum. You have black painted steelies and fog lights as far as looks go, so how can you say your car looks so great? And what exactly do you mean by runs better, i hope you dont mean performance wise? Do some searching and research before you make comments, a lot of the people on here just use their car as a daily driver so they dont do too much performance or appearance mods so your car may be better looking and run better them SOME but definatly not MOST. the car was waxed on a regular basis until my mom got her car shes driving now, then my 3g sat outside in the sun/weather until i started driving it 5 years after my mom got her car. The cool thing about it, the car sat for 5 years, never had it running, then when it came time for me to start driving it, it fired right up and ran fine. But it need a new water pump, belts and hoses, and quite a few other things down the road.

Wax will not "protect" your paint to that extent. All wax essentially does is polish it a little (more shine) and it makes it easier to wash... thats about it.

I recently talked to a professional bodyshop that i know a few guys at, and i talked to the "detailer" there... he told me exactly what i told you.

It helped protect the paint back in the 30's-40's when paints were Enamel paints, modern day paints are NOT enamel paints by any means. Modern day paints (80-current) have chemicals in it to protect the paint from the factory. But just like anything else, if you dont take care of it how its supposed to be taken care of... its not going to work/function/look right.

Sorry to say bro, putting wax on your 86 accord that already has oxidation is a waste of time and money.

Oxidation, and rust. Both are like cancer, once it starts, you cant stop it.
