Picked these up yesterrday and thought I post some pics.:D
I like the way these look I had the cheap ebay ones before when I first bought my accord and those didnt even stay on the car for a month before I threw them out. These should last a long time.
So remember dont buy the cheap housings unlless you dont care.:D
Let me know what you think :)

Yeah they can I thought about getting autopals But I found these Hella's sitting on a shelf at work way in the back (discontinued stock) it's the only reason I got them otherwise I would of picked up the autopals from this guy http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/200mm-H6054-H4-EURO-STYLE-HEADLIGHTS-Like-HELLA-CIBIE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQihZ014QQit emZ330007065741QQtcZphoto

looks pretty good. what are the benefits of h4 vs the stock system? one of my headlights went out so i just picked up some of the silverstars ultra or whatever, but that are in the stock design. the difference was like night and day. so much brighter now. my gf always complains when i drive behind her since i got the new lights.

think of the silverstar stock seald ones and times it by 2 with a killer cutoff pattern

IMO the H4 housings allow you to run a higher wattage bulb if you feel the need to and the light output is more clearer and brighter

Yeah those are nice. Wish they made those for the 4656 style lamps, like the ones in the 2geez. The only ones I can find are on eBay and boy are they cheap. First set I got, the glass completely fell off of the housing. I'm running a set from eBay that I purchased now, and they SUCK. No engineering went into creating a decent light pattern. The bulbs just refract all over the place and don't give you crap to see with.

as you can see the hella housings show more foreground light aiding in the the floor in front of you so you can see as well as a nice cutoff. These were Ecode hellas too btw.

Today was the first day I drove the car in the dark on my way in to work and just like the pictures that Busted Blue posted the light output is great I could see alot better.
I'll post up some pics myself when I get the chance.

I never tried them, but may be because i don't like the way they look. Plus i don't like that they are not DOT sertified.
I bought a set of non DOT lights. what a junk they were, I trushed them after one night.
I ended up buying another diamond cut set from ebay. I made sure it had no daylight build in and it was DOT sertified. I still have it till this day.
I used to have Raybrig sonic white bulb in them. boy they were bright. People thought that my low beams were high beams. They were great on dry days and during the winter, but they sucked in rain.

In the above pictures, those were the Raybrigs w/ the H4 housings.
Alex, like you said, the raybrigs sucked in the rain simply because it was blue. Thats where yellow fogs came in. Yellow cuts through much better during wet season but the raybrig white light was much better during dry weather.
As far as the Ecodes, I don't see why you are saying they sucked. They are not DOT but the only reason they are not DOT certified is because it has the ___/ ____/ cut off. If you look at modern cutoff pictures now they meet dot as well as ECE codes. The only difference is that
......____ ____
___/ ____/

there is a top portion now. I dont see where it would be "junk" as you say.

As far as looks involve, I prefer the fluted lense over the clear one as it follows the time era of this car. That's a personal preference call though.

shepherd79
10-31-2006, 09:18 AM
i am not saying they are junk. I just don't like the that kind of lens. It reminds me of a sealed beam light.
i went through 3 sets of ebay lights.
first one was made by euro something. they had daylight build in and they leaked like no one else.
my second set was from ebay again, this time i made sure i bought it without daylight. well, after i installed them, the light was shining up instead on down. that was just a nightmare. I even flipped them, and they still didn't work.
my third and last set i bought from ebay again. this time i spent a few days researching. I found a guy who was selling DOT diamond cut lights without daylight. I bought them and they are the best headlights i ever had.

I can't even imagine how many light bulbs i went through. Probably 10 or 12 sets of diff kind. i tried everything from cheap to expensive stuff (raybrig white sonic (http://store.racinglab.com/raywhitsonh4.html).) They were the best as far as light output. They didn't put any stress on my electrical system at all. I love them, but i hated them in the rain.
That is why i am going with Osram silverstar (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/os07-Osram-Sylvania-H4-Silverstar-60-55W-12V-PAIR-Bulb_W0QQitemZ110048891224QQihZ001QQcategoryZ33710 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). They are silverstars that are made for Europe, except they don't have the blue tint to them. The reason US silverstars have blue tint to them is to cut down on light output. They are supposed to be the brightest lights without any tinting.

If you want even more light output, look at this osram rally light bulbs (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OSRAM-H4-RALLY-85-80-WATT-CAPS-SALE-CAR-TRUCK-OR-BIKE_W0QQitemZ110047994633QQihZ001QQcategoryZ33710 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).
You can also check out this lights, Narva (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NARVA-H4-100-90-WATT-RALLYE-CAPS-GERMAN-BMW-HONDA_W0QQitemZ110047994235QQihZ001QQcategoryZ3371 0QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).
the higher the power output the brighter they are without any tinting. Plus it will help a lot on rainy days.

if not HID at least ditch the silverstars

if you have AIM

IM a messege to JDMK20A2 and ask him for details on his Luminics Kryptons... he has them in Ultra White or JDM Yellow, i have the ultra whites in my car

$40 shipped, 30% larger bulb, 30% brighter output, and they have a 2 year warranty. Silverstar cant beat that.
