I sold my 86 4 door lxi. I'm in the market for either a coupe, or a hatchback.
Which has better handling ? i might be getting an 89 lxi coupe for a good deal.
Not sure yet though.

of course Sedans rock, but next in line is the Hatch for sure.

which one has the best handling ? I've been told the coupe really hugs the road. I don't like the rear on the coupes either. Do hatches have backseats ?
That's one thing I liked about the sedan I use to have, I had enough room for
myself, my girl and 3 of my friends. I Was told the longer wheelbase of the coupe provided
better handling. Wouldn't a shorter wheelbase have better handling ?

As far as I can see, they all have the same wheel base. Even the Aerodeck is the same. handling differences may be due to different weight distribution.

good it was time to upgrade....get like a 88-89 hatch or something thoes things are a lil rare....look at legends or lostforawhile they got some crazy mods that you can do with them.

coupe is stiffer and lighter. the wheelbase is the same with all of the cars. the hatch has a shorter body.

Its always fun to own hatches and coupes because they never expect it from a sedan. Get another sedan and do some suspension mods, the lxi already has a great suspension set up for stock.

I like coupes much better but of course I'm biased. They will all handle just about the same since they all have the same suspension setup. However, hatches were produced all 4 years while the coupe was only 2 so there's bound to be more hatches around than coupes.

Get a hatch like mine:)....you can fit so much in the back...lol.

i dunno about stiffer, but the lxi coupe is a mere 6 lbs lighter than the lxi sedan. So let some air out of your spare tire sedan owners! LOL.

The shorter wheel base is beter hendling 100%. I wold go for coupe if i war you. they olso have back seat with nuf room for frends. + you get a more handsome car thet stiles well.

If you want a coupe with an A20 buy a Prelude. hatch is where it's at...

i would say hatch hands down, its sweet if you ever have to pack up a bunch of stuff, and i would say you get a 10 point bonus for style.

subwoofers do sound way better in a hatch....my friend has a coupe and has the same sub that i have and doesnt bump as mush as mine:)...i love feeling my hairs vibrating in there...lol

Somebody sell me a coup... i realy want one... reason whi i ask you is, those was newer sold in Europe. Japan maybe?, dont know. i would go for coup anyway...

who said the a20 was going to be permanent ? I'd like to do a gsr or h22 swap. i'm not making any plans until i get another 3g. There's a place here called new concepts, I know a guy there who said he could swap and h22
into a 3g for $1,200, If provided with the parts (engine,transmission,axles, ecu, etc...) I'm starting to lean towards getting a hatch, but they are hard to find, especially in good condition. If I can't find a hatch I'll go with a coupe.
The sedans are so common. I'd really like to get a hatch because I also have plans for a kller stereo system.
