Who knows anything about these modified from new Accords?

Fewer than 40 were made in around 81/82 and were seemingly an aerdynamically superior luxury alternative to the standard fare with features such as air con, leather, modified front end with electic front aerofoil & options of electric roof & turbo charger. Ran with the 1602cc engine.

May have been for UK market only, but not too sure.

Can find very little on the internet regarding them, any examples left?

I have picture from World Cars guide 1982 showing a Rapport Ritz based upon the 1st gen Accord sedan with revised bumpers & a projecting "aerofoil" over the frt lights to disguise the frt. It also lists their turbo-charged variant with a claimed 112 bhp from its 1602cc and makes mention of a 2 door convertible model with an electric roof, though no pictures.
The only other information I have been able to find upon Rapport has concentrated upon their more adventurous Forte 2+2 convertible hardtop based upon the Jaguar XJ6 or XJ12.

So far this is all I can find on the car company repport, but they had some crazy ideas. Check it out (http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/index.htm?rappfortef.htm)

Woah. It's a 1g Accord wagon! I bet you could unbolt all that ugly plastic on the front and just bolt the Accord grille and bumper on in it's place. Sweet stuff! I would love to find all those parts from that original EL Turbo, rebuild it, and swap that onto a 1g. Badass!

Not quite, it's an Austin/Leyland Princess sedan customised into a wagon, -not related to Honda though the frt certainly has some similar shapes.
Still interesting though -1.8 four or 2.2litre STRAIGHT six transverse FWD.

My parents used to have a standard Princess 2.2 when I was a kid. Big comfy car! As for the Rapport Ritz, all I know about it is reading the 1982 World Cars guide many years ago & the Austin-Rover site reminded me of it as it is the same article.

Rapport Ritz -THE ultimate custom Accord ?

OK I recently refound my reference to the Rapport Ritz in "world cars 1982"
Which spurred me into doing another internet search upon it & thanks to this forum:

http://austin-rover.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11658&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=rapport+ritz&start=0

I think I found the motherload.

As a quick summary these were NEW Accord sedans radically customised by a small independant car design firm and coach builder in England during 1980-1 the firm running into financial difficulties and closing down in 1981. It is unknown how many were built and even though some equally wild Hatchback & convertible derrivatives were conceived none were actually built.

& the pictures shamelessly copied from that forums sources:
since I figured we HAD to have copies of them on here.

Putting off the Ritz

I have a 1982 Rapport Ritz. It is a 1982 Honda Accord 1.6 Hondamatic four-door saloon
with aluminium body modifications by Rapport of Park Lane, Connolly leather, walnut
veneers, air-conditioning and alloy wheels. The car has been in my family since the
1980s, has covered 52,000 miles and was one of the last of only 19 such models built.
It might even be the sole survivor. It has now been laid up for a few years and
requires some attention, but I need the space it occupies, so have to let it go. How
much is it worth?
S.H., Barnes
---------------------------
In running condition with no rust and a faultless interior, it is probably worth
£2,000-£2,500. I can't value it as a non-runner from an old photo because I don't know
how much work is needed, but if any reader would like to take it on, please call Simon

Hudson on 07951 960789.

So rapport also developed a turbo kit for those engines, or used a modified Honda turbo system? Sorry, durnk again...

WOW that is really strange! Those would be some bumpers to start with though. The back end looks like an Audi 4000 or 5000.

Standing 1/4 mile in 19.5 seconds! Woo wee! ;)

That dash seems REALLY big. It doesn't seem like there was a lot they could do to really make the Accord that much more "luxury." I do dig some of those wheels though!

Did anybody outside the US get the Accord SE? Seems like the Honda answer to this without the funny hydraulic "foil" that hid the headlights. The convertible is cool though! Maybe a Prelude instead of an Accord?

3lbs of boost is pretty funny too! Wonder what their turbocharger setup was like.

There was an option for a turbo set up in North America too, offered by Jackson Racning in the early 80's.

The set up was for the 79-81 EK motors with the Canadian EL head and produced 126 HP. It was a draw through set up with an SU side draft carb. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the pic:
