Tire Down Size

This probably does not belong here but for some reason they won't let me post on the tire/wheel/brake forum, anyway the question is; will a 185 tire seal on a rim that normally takes a 195 tire?

I want to go from 195s to 185s without buying different rims. the difference is les than 1/2 inch in.

yes it will work. I did that because i found good set of tires for cheap and i am happy.

it will fit...look at people in the vw community...putting 185 tires on wheels that are 8 inches wide....

exactly... i used to wonder about my 195's on 7" rims... until i saw the stretched rubbers on v-dubs.
