New turbo is a Precision Turbo SC61 with T04S compressor upgrade. Basically its almost the same as a GT35R except the GT35R is ball bearing (ball bearings are for pussies). Ill post pics in a few min. ITs good to 630hp... so it should get me to my goals so long as the engine holds together.

youll need 3 T25s to flow as much as this thing. Its a serious piece, but i probably wont see boost til 4500rpm

yeah i knoe but i dont have a build race engine so the t25 should be good for a stock engine...i would do like 6psi tops...but not now...i still need to learn have the shit...like engine maganment, fuel, maps, computers....ect...

trust me there is a HUGE difference in power from 6 to 9psi. Not really sure why but 8-9psi feels alot more powerful than 6psi. Besides the stock engine should handle it. That t25 is pretty small but youll prolly be seeing boost by like 2000 rpm

yeah, t25 should quench your initial appetite for speed in the accord. and just get an accurate boost guage, manual boost controller, afpr, walbro 255 (or at least 190) fuel pump, and some bigger injectors. (i would go 450cc just to be on the safe side since you're only running a t25.) that should be enough to get you started and run low boost levels. (of course the turbo and piping too!) and you probably don't even need a boost controller, just let the turbo wastegate handle it.

IMO that turbo is way too big for that motor. Dont get me wrong, its a sweet turbo, but overkill. The powerband will absolutely suck. I know someone running a GT35R on a 2litre JDM STI motor, and it doesnt spool till super high rpm. Given in then hauls ass, but I'd rather have a smaller turbo, and BB ftw.

Yeah it is large but on a fully built 2.0 with headwork its really not that bad, sure the powerband is only about 2500 rpm big but if thats what it takes to make big power... besides, the car with the turbo i have now is much too violent, even with the .63 and on 10psi, so the .63 stage 5 should really help traction issues.

just remember, the smaller the turbine and more restrictive the exhaust section in general, the harder it is on the engine because it keeps exhaust gas pressures high and that hurts scavenging and keeps alot of heat in the cylinders promoting detonation. I think the turbo i had was really decent on the stock engine, my T3 60/63. The turbine side is pretty big so it didnt spool up until 4000 but it had a huge kick in the butt once it did. Plus its efficient to about 275whp or so.

but would a t25 with a 272 cam be good?? thats one of the reasons i dont want to go with a t3 cause of the cam. or will i be good?? i want fast spool up time.

lol i love it.

if u sell ur accord u can put 400+ whp, but its driveable cause i have traction control! :)

I love the new turbo though man

Now that's a turbo! When are you planning on getting it up and running? Quite curious on how it will run.

Ball bearings are for pussies, why??

edit: btw, a 3rd gen prelude on preludepower is running a SC61 turbo on his B20A5, he's putting down 400whp and 385 lbs/ft torque on race gas

You guys are nuts. I got mad respect for y'all.

When I get in a family way and need a bigger car, you bet it will be A20A turbo.

the T3 60/63 blew up when it sucked a rock right into the compressor section destroying the compressor wheel. I have since upgraded that compressor section to a T04E compressor cover bored out slightly for a custom compressor wheel, id say itd be good anywhere from 475-500whp but i think my friend is going to buy it for his turbo civic. Bobafetts turbo is an awesome turbo and i was actually talking about buying it myself but i felt i needed somthing bigger. His will support 400hp or so, but its a bit large for anything under 12-14psi on a stock type A20.

for reference the only reason i am selling IT is because I want the quick spool of the disco potato that will top out at around 300-325 whp. :) (but costs $1200)

the only downside to the bb turbos is that when its time for a rebuild it costs about the same as buying it new again. A regular type center section cost around 150 give or take to rebuild. Kinda sucks to pay for a turbo and then practicly have to buy a new one if it needs an overhaul! :(

bobafett

yep. true true. only thing I have going for the accord is that it IS NOT going be dailied so I can afford to try something like this cause it will probably have less than 500 miles a year if I can find a volunteer to trailer it to the track.

thegreatdane

It should last for a long time without needing to get rebuild though so perhaps not that big of a problem unless you buy an already used one.

bobafett's turbo sounds like a good deal
