HEY, a total NOOB here. Need some advice

Most of my friends who "JDM'd" their rides thought I was a goner when I bought my 89 Honda Accord. I searched Google and found this dude's home page. And he directed me to this site. Man how relieved I was when I found out that these 3rd generations can look so damn hot! Ahah! I'll post pics up after I take some tomorrow. I was wondering after I post them, can you guys give me suggestions of what to do first. Thanks.

i saw your cars twin at the junker it was just like it (but no rims at all) and it said socal

Hey thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Ahaha. Daymn geddy that's nice. Well this is my project car. It's got some rust, and many damaged exterior things. I forgot to take a pic of the interior though. I got it for 200 but it runs pretty good. i want to focus on fixing the way it looks first then I'll go on to how its speed. The pictures are not too good because I was carrying my baby boy but this is it. I'm planning on taking care of the rusts then the paint, then next the windows. But i dont know whats after that.

Naw' I bought it from my girlfriend's cousin and he used it when he went to surf. I guess the paint got faded from the sun and the rest fell off cuz of the heat also. But yeah there it is aha.

Have you taken a good look at the bucket you have CAH
i am fixing mine up now so its not such a bucket
we will be trying to get a tallamp soon
and i might try the $50 paint job

my car is not stock....i got an adjustable cam gear, CAI,msd coil, new NGK vpower plugs, 3 crane wires..ok a bit ghetto, Custom stereo system hooked by geddy...lol...prelude steering wheel....oh yeah FAty fives that grip hella good...but in rain they suck balls

I so pics. your car a bit ruf but its not the end of the world, so get your rust done, then it gona be a rear 3Gee then after start to brake and perform your motor. mi advice to you. and get rid of thet stikker FreeSurf.

Honestly, just fix your current problems with the car.

Once you have it nice and clean, go ahead and modify it to your liking.

oh, and please dont listen to CAH.... stickers, racing seat covers, and banners are ghey...

a conservative drop with some 16's would be a good start to modifying your car. Even with paint/body in bad shape, that always makes a car look/perform better. Here is a pic of halxi's accord when he had it.

Do you know where the whole "rice" phrase came from?

Honda's are japanese cars. Japanese people eat a lot of rice. It's a diss on honda and asian people all together to the best of my knowledge. However, it has become a common phrase for things that people find to be useless, meaningless, or empowering of a stock econobox. Or they just find it plainly stupid and ugly, such as body kits, stickers, racing seat covers, etc etc.

and yes, putting a "powered by Honda" decal on your car IMO would be considered "rice" due to my thoughts on it being retarded.

and seriously, i know public schools teach you better spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc.

it's bugging me... lol

anywho, congrats on finding a good reliable car for 200 bucks! I'd buy one like that also. Good luck :)
