I'm personally not a fan of audiobahn subs... they will be loud if you put a lot of power to them, but they sound like ass.

my friend has the lower model 10 inch subs that he got from his cousin and he has them in a buick and they sound alright....nothing mind blowing but it does give the music and nice thump....i think he has like a earthquake amp that is rated at 2.400 so 800 watts tops.

alpine type R i heard both 12 inch and 10 inch....i like em....you just need a good amp to push em.

you can make anything sound decent, i have 2 Wal-mart subs that I got for free that hit decent with a 200W MTX... but personally, I would splurge a tad and get some Alpines, I have never been so impressed with quality, response and sound before, yes you need some cash to back it, but it is well worth it

yeah it was funny as hell...it made my tail light rattle....but then...i got a cheap walmart amp...its 150 RMS....i had it on my dx with a 10 inch kicker...it sounded good....i would bump it...till some jack asses tired to jack it...so its all in my living room...i need to install it on my lx-i but everthing will be bolted down with special nuts and screws.

Mi classmate have those Fanatiks with 15" 2000W RMS x2 in hes car, to tell you. they play like no other, we have kompered those two with Alpine ones. no much. Even that those Alpine costs olmost dobel and on paper they are more powerful. but enyways no much.

15's are over kill though if u want deep clean bass its eather an 8" or a 10"

get a sub that operates at 2-Ohm and and has a normal of 300W or around that region, the reason being that you wont need a sub that can hit 1800Watts and by spending the money to get an amp that can keep up with it, is pointless cause you are not going to compete in any audio/sound event (or whatever they call that thing as).

i have a JL 10W3v2-D6 which hits 300W RMS normal and i have a 500W RMS Amp. even at a low setting, its pretty lound when i had the bandpass with two of those subs. and with a single of the same sub now, i dont hit that hard cuz the amp sees a 3Ohm at the sub as opposed to 1.5Ohm as before.

lol @ insignia. It sucks alot! I made the mistake of buying one of their decks and now i have to get a new one, less than a year later. I know my Alpine deck im gettng will do better:)

the 12 inch is like 1500 watts 750 RMS....that is a lot of power. i had an 900RMS amp....that thing made the lights dim soo much that cars infront of me would flip me off...lol

I got a chance to listen to one of those triangle shaped subs. In that enclosure they had for it, that thing hit like a sledgehammer and was loud as hell. If I were going for a subwoofer to throw a little over 1,000 watts at, it'd be that one sub.

For now I find a pair of 8's driven with a bit of power in a bandpass to give me the best mix of bass and trunk space. I still have loads of room with the box in there plus the rear bar. No it doesn't wake the dead, but the sound is decent.
