ok, so I moved to Klamath Falls for college and it snows all the time up here. My car has become impractical and I'm looking for a 4wd. My problem is I was thinking of selling my car but I'm not sure for how much though. I'd just like some opinions.

Stats:

1986 Honda Accord dx Hatchback
Carb
bone stock
2 small dents and the paint around the windows is chipped
I think I'm the 3rd owner after my grandpa
It drives really well but has a few problems starting sometimes

I'll get some pics up in a bit.

Thanks for the help and if this is in the wrong place please move it to the correct place. Thanks again.

I would like to get either a 4x4 or a subaru or something like that because it would be more suited to the snow thats always around. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my car, but I need to let it go at some point so i might as well sell it while I can.

Whats the mileage? What works what doesnt? Unless the car has low miles with working a/c i wouldnt offer more than $650.

The mileage is 105,419, but I recently replaced the headgasket the rest is the same as when I got it. (I blew the old one burning out in a parking lot). This car was more of my daily driver while I worked on my camaro. Oh and the a/c kinda works, but it's usually so cold here that you don't need it, so it was never really a problem.

Well around here i doubt you would get more than $750. I say put up a signs asking $1000obo and you might actually get maybe between 700-800.

lol i just saw that you changed the mileage. You did say that where you live it snows alot so im sure its gotta be super cold so im sure someone would want working heat. With that mileage and the condiotion and if the heater works i say you should have no problems getting around $1500. Well thats around here.

yeah for some reason I was looking at the tripometer and I only reset it when I refill on gas. The heat works great.

Go to Auto Trader online and look for similar cars in your area and see what they are asking, and that will give you an idea of what one goes for in your area. It seems prices vary quite a bit by the location the vehicle is for sale in.

My 4dr LX auto handles GREAT in snow, I was really surprised. Give it a chance....

I would my parents do not trust it and they want something I can safely and comfortably drive through the pass. I know the honda handles well on snow. My parents are just worried about it breaking down or getting stuck due to how low it sits.

if you trade it in you will get alot (i mean alot) more money for it, when i traded my accord in the unibody was trashed, one rim was bent, and bald tires, they gave me 1500 for it and it looked like shit..

ask $1200 and shoot for $1000 final sale price and depending on where you live you'll probably find a buyer pretty quick, or go a lil higher if you're not in a big rush to sell it
