View Full Version : anyone replace a clutch cable?

My clutch kinda sucks(its been replaced 3,000 miles ago with a crappy napa one), it grabs all the way at the end of the pedal and when i try to shift fast it has bad lag(which i think has to do with the fork... wouldn't hurt to replace that either) so i already bought the cable and looked at the haynes and it looks easy in the book but when i looked in my car the top of the pedal seems to be well in the dash pretty good, haven't atempted it yet just seeing if anyone has done it and give me a few pointers. What i'm afraid is that i think that i'll be burning out clutches cause its not engaged all the way.

And i know this is in the wrong section, i don't have enough privelages to put in the engine transmission section sorry....

Why dont you just try and adjust the cable?

i think its all the way adjusted and i already bought the cable for 25 bucks so mays well do it.

yeah can you get to where it hooks up to the pedal ok or is that a bitch thats all i'm really concerned about
