i know somebody got fired for this messup... this happed around my way a while back when gas was like 2.70 a gallon...well i pulled into a sunoco and when i look at the pump and it read 1.70, yo b4 they realized their mistake i had watcthed about 15 ppl to fill up cars and like 5 suvs topped off....

i remember it happen to me at valero... i keep filling up my legend, wtf the thing doesn't even roll... when i remove it, pull the handle... gas just keep coming out, lol... so i just lefted in the legend... lol.... it stayed at 0.00 and 0.00 gal filled, lol.... but my needle went from empty to full, lol.... top it off and drove away....

dont want to give anybody any ideas, but ive seen this done deliberatley.
Not really on the pump price that shows, but I guess it would be a good gamble if most of that perticular pump activity is mostly credit card. What the clerk does is short charge credit customers or, give them a super low price per gallon so the gas readings show up accurate.
Then for all the cash customers they can pocket the cash and the register does not show short, and the gas readings do not show up short. Eventually it catches up with them though when they get greedy .... as thieves usually do.

I don't know if anybody has ever seen those two gas stations along the PCH in California? Their prices are excruciating. Its along the stretch where the highway is really windey, and there is nowhere you can get gas except these two stations. They're about 20 miles apart, but charge about $4.00/gal. I took pictures of how we got ripped off. But how we only put 2 gallons of gas in our car to get us to the next station, so they're just screwing themselves.

yup, they are lucky with the prices the way they are, but over here its like $3.68USD per gallon, so i cant feel too bad with the prices here :)
