wasnt me thankfully....but from the news report it sounds like the guy was pretty hammered....was going too fast....went off the road and slid into a swamp...then had the time to take the keys out of the iginition and put it into park :lol:

yeah, that was a good one. put it in park, took the keys. he should've took the vin and licence plates while he was at it so they can't track him down. lol. and watch it turn out to be some exec from a bottom-up euro video game company importing cars illegally. :lol:

I can see some guy getting out of the car, pulling out a drill and screw driver, Drilling all the vins off (or sanding), Taking the license plates off and running like hell. :Owned:

With the trunk opened, I bet he got some drugs or something out of it before he fled. Probably why the keys were out of the ignition so he could open the trunk. Not sure if the cable would have pulled and opened the trunk when the ass end came off, or if the cable would just snap and not unlatch the trunk.
Reminds me of that old video of the guy running from the cops in a black corvette, losing control and sliding sideways first into the back end of an 18 wheeler, tore the vette in half, and the guy ended up skidding on his ass cheeks across the side of the road, and stopped just sitting there, then he just fell over. Some people are just amazingly lucky......

that is amazing destruction, the car must have been chopped before as a repair, the break is so clean and the rest of the body so intact.
I wonder if there is a weak spot in our floorpans, the robosaurus on Ripleys belive it or not this weekend chomped and broke that other Accord in half just like that, almost like it was preferated already.

looks like it should have just had some really bad damage but ripped in half something else is going on there both halfs are in like great shape and all the windows were intact

The more impact the car took, the less that would be transferred to the driver. Now, if the car hadn't broken, and was still wrapped around the pole, the driver would probably have taken a lot of the impact.
After watching the video I said out loud, "Holy shit!" and then I read the first reply which was "Holy fuck!" My eyes were watering I was laughing so hard, lol.
