This is an example of what you can get over here for not very much cash, $122 in fact. This is a nice looking car with low mileage albeit with a autobox fault. Yet it is driveable with MOT (UK goverment test) till August next year.

Dunno if its been bought for spares or not though, which would be a shame.

Yummy. Rear fog lights. Smoked corners. Side markers. Fixed headlights. Headlight wipers... "JDM" goodness.

I wonder what the badge next to "Honda" says.

Here's another even better one. The two-tone brown interior of the other one is totally the most hideous interior I've ever seen! What were Honda thinking?

This old minter should be right up everyones street. This is also an EXR (little badge & the other says 4wALB).

Whats with so many EXR's turning up lately? I'd love to have this but I've long since run out of room, just hope & pray that it finds a good home. And whats with not liking auto's?

They're the bomb!

Autos aren't bad if you're nice to them. Honda autos weren't designed to be romped on all the time. They're less reliable if you're flooring it all the time, yes, but if you're good to it they'll be good to you.

And UM ANOTHER "JDM" 2gee feature I just saw! Center rear armrest! And it's got storage in it! Where do I get one!?!?

Also, please note the smoked taillights. Looks factory to me.

All my Honda's are auto's... in fact I've never driven a manual one but would certainly like to try one out. I'm kind to my cars except when they annoy me like my Audi did today (saw high revs on a cold engine. Bad me!). Its for sale & I've not had a single call about it despite it being one of the cheapest available.

There seem to be a lot of differences between JDM spec & US spec cars. All the rear armrests here have storage (I have a spare btw... in blue velour).

I saw on another post an underbonnet shot showing two bonnet locks. We only have one that sits in the centre of the firewall. Would be good to find out all the various differences & options available between them.

Edit: Oh yeah, the smoked tail lamps are standard, all the 2.5gees had them & come to mention it the 3gees here did too.

You have a spare eh? Do you have the whole upper back seat? Would you be willing to stick it in a big ass box and ship it?? hmm??

What about hookin me up with some of those headlights, corner lights, or taillights... :D

Have you ever seen a factory armrest? Or do you have any pictures of one? I have an armrest in my car, but I suspect that it's aftermarket...

:D

If only it were so easy... Then we could "just" import B20 Accords as well.

Yep got spare whole interior in fact but will need to refresh my memory on its conditon. No rips or wear but theres a cig burn on the rear seat, but I thinks its on the base part - will check soonish. Could ship no bother.

Your best bet on the headlights would be from a LHD country (what happened to that lamp on German ebay?) but I'm sure some corners will turn up. The UK tail lights might mean changing the intermediate panel (under the lights) as the section under the license plate may be longer on cars here - not to sure though.

Never seen a factory armrest, don't think they were available here but don't have a UK options brochure/guide to check.

Cool, I'd hook you up with some cash for that seat, plus I'd pay shipping. I'm checking out some taillights from Australia that are up on eBay. They're pretty cheap and are the same smoked style. They use the wider plates too, and no center panel between the lights, but I'd try it out and see how it looks. I can always modify things too. :)

Sorry to bump an old thread but..

God this brings back memories, my first car was a gen 2 Honda Accord EX-R. While my mates had old ford escorts or crappy mazda 323s, I had a car with Power Steering, Electric Windows/Mirrors/Sunroof and central locking :D And yeah it had the rear armrest with storage :P I was super jeallous of the 12 valve injected models I used to see around, like the RT-i hatch model.

RT-i hatch model? Woah. I didn't know they made a fuel injected hatch. Man was it a 1.8 or 1.6? Need more info!

I think it was a 1.6, but it's been so many years since I've seen one. I remember they had factory alloys. Don't see many 2nd gens around here these days, let alone injecteced ones. Once upon a time the streets were teeming with them, I guess they are now all rusting away in dismantlers yards somewhere.

ok found out some more info. There was a RT-i hatch and sedan, it was a sporty model and had a 1800cc engine with PGM-FI. There were also GT-i and GTL-i sedans which had the same engine. They were only produced in 1984, as the Japanese had the 3rd gen by 1985.

The engine produced 130HP @ 5800rpm, they had 4 wheel disc brakes, a proper 4 speed automatic or 5 speed manual, optional ABS of some sort. Not too bad for an old crapheap :)

I think the GTL-i was similar to the US SE-i

If you keep clicking the orange button at the bottom of the page it eventually takes you to the 1984 models.
