Hello Y'all I have a quick question, I am swapping an engine from a 89 LX-i four door into an 88 LX-i coupe, Do I need to swamp the engine harness, or the one from the 89 sedan will be just fine on the coupe. Does any body here had done it? If so any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I think the 89's came with a dual runner manifold but other than that I think you are good to go. :)...What I am saying is yes it will work even with the manifold...That is what I am led to believe.

88-89 engines are the same, i would assume all the wiring is the same

as long as the engine you're swapping is an a20a3, it's a straight swap. if you were going to be doing it into an 86-87 coupe, you might want to take along the ecu and maybe some of the wiring.

The Accord coupe was also introduced in 1988. Built in Marysville, Ohio, it was the first Japanese car to be produced in a factory located in the United States and exported back to Japan.
