I took just took the compressor out. If you're unhooking the A/C to possibly free up some power, might as well get rid of the compressor to lighten your car.

if you just want to remove the belt loosen the tensioning nut (long 12 mm nut that points towards the engine on the left side of the compressor). Also loosen the mount bolts enough to let the compressor move after loosening the tensioner bolt. Tilt the compressor back and off the belt goes. You'll need to remove the PS belt to get the A/C belt off whole.

If you dont want to use anymore your A/C the easiest way is to cut the belt:D
But guys are you really thinking you gone gain some HP????
Because i thought that if the a/c is not on you dont use much power????

its not about gaining hp which is true cause u do take up power from the main crank when the ac on, but the damn compressor weighs atleast 25 to 30lbs. if its not working, take that shit off. when u do, or before u do it make sure ur system is fully discharged. take the compressor off and take of all the shit that goes with it. take off the dryer and the condensor on the front of the radiator. just make sure u plug all the holes in the system to prevent dust from getting in.
