View Full Version : need help asap - temp gauge
well today after a drive i noticed a funny sound, get home, open the hood and theres water everywere, a hose blew, so fixed that all up now my temp gauge no longer works, the fans do though... any ideas??? i done a quick search, didnt find much

the gauge/ecu use a different sensor than the fans on the 87. if you got no cel it might just be the gauge went bad.
did you work on your dash recently?
i havnt touched the gauge, but im pretty sure the problem is related to the hose blowing

dam dosedover. and u wanna sellit! u were drivin? stuff may have been damaged maybe u should see an expert.
forrest told me to swap that little sensor under the carb so yeah i just done that just letting the car warm up now.... hopefully it works

sds, if i didnt have a answer well we would just have to use it without a temp gauge... a bit risky

He changed the coolant gauge temp sensor on the rear of the intake mani.

did you know the Honda Fit/Jazz doesn't have a temp guage?
It just has a Cold Light and a Hot light, lol
well yeah, there might not have been a problem with that sensor, its just a odd problem cause the gauge doesnt move untill it's warm and then take about 5 secs to go just under half way.... at least it hasnt gone above lol
and those stock hose clamps just dont work too well :thumbdn:
maybe my car needs coolant hoses upgrade, thats the 3rd hose that blew :thumbdn:

did you unhook the sender wire that goes to the termalsat housing?
i dunno what ur talking about, but nope lol

last time my car was overheating. and it has a lil wire that send the temp to the guage...cuz i took it off and my guage just went down..il see if i can get a pic
