I just joined up today seems like a good site to me. I am also member on teamintegra.net and clubwrx.net. I used to own a 99 Integra LS but I traded that in in may for a 2003 WRX. Since then I have made it stage 2 and added Tein H techs to bring the height down a bit.
I have just recently purchased a 1986 Accord LXi 3Dr for 500 bucks. It needed a new radiator and has some rust but only 140,000 miles and a fresh tranny. I could use a new hood but i am going to just be driving this to keep the miles off my WRX.
I have a question there is some sort of intake on the car and the vacuum likes are just hanging there can i just drill into the intake and stick the hoses in the holes? Will they work that way. Anyway thanks in advance.

Welcome.
If i can remember correctly, there should be only one hose going to the intake(intake pipe, not manifold), which connects to the valve cover.

There is that one and then there are 2 other ones that come out of a black box in the upper left hand corner of the engine bay. Those are the 2 that I am worried about the other one is connected

There should be a number written on each vacuum line. Find the number then look around the engine and try finding a place where is a vacuum line missing. There should be a number on that part where it goes as well. Most likely it plugs into a metal vacuum rail, just match the numbers up and that should do it.

Ok I will check that out. I know the intake was from a civic and I just thought that they used to be connected to the factory intake and there just wasn't a place to plug them into the short ram. thanks a lot guys

since you have 86 model you will have 3 vacuum lines and one for breather valve cover.
first two lines connect to the black box. and the other one is for idle valve. it is a black thing on the driver side that has two vacuum lines. one of them connected to the box.
You can't just drill and stick them in there. you may have to get rubber groumets and plastic hose. Everything is explained in the how to.

Thank you very much. I searched and found that i could use some PVC and and groment to connect them to the intake. I just wanted to be sure before I go drilling holes into the intake. You guys have been great I will post some pics of both my cars when I get my 86 running.

Cool I'm on TeamIntegra too. Welcome aboard. I run a 96 Integra GSR totally stock.

TI is a pretty uptight board though.
