Just was surfing eBay and found this car for sale. Was checkin out the pics and noticed this:

That one is even upholstered. First time I've ever seen another one besides mine... Guess I got :Owned: by that guy selling it as "JDM"

Well the guy who sold me mine WAS from New Zealand. So technically I guess mine really is "JDM", although just like the USDM one.

The inside is nice on that one I guess, but its got some good front end damage... Just mostly interested in the armrest. I've never seen the Prelude armrest... I'll have to go over there and look.

Yeah they look very very similar. The top is identical. I bet one would probably work in the Accord. The base is a little different though.

Yeah, after seeing that I want a centre armrest too !!

Looks pretty wicked & I like how its upholstered, correct colour for my car too.

Clean car let down by a few bits here & there.

Whats with the Power Lock switch on the drivers door? That was never a feature on cars here. I want one (same blue colour) & I would also want the correct wiring to install it. :)

You guys don't have power locks? Bummer. It's sure nice to have. You can even push and pull on the lock itself, and it locks and unlocks all the doors. It's pretty rad.

My eyes aren't that good but it looks like the armrest in that blue Accord is one piece, integrated into the center console? I've never seen one like that before.

I had a supposed "JDM" armrest in a 2g Prelude, but the base of it looked nothing like the 'lude armrest pictured here either -- it looked like the Accord except it was totally flat in back (no room for a cigarette lighter). The top was leather and it was really flimsy, I never actually rested my arm on it for fear of smashing it to pieces. I wouldn't be too surprised if the armrests aren't really a Honda part at all, or at most a dealer installed accessory. I don't recall ever seeing one pictured in the documents on the Japanese Honda site (which shows pretty much every option the 2nd gen came with).

Aah dude, you're thinking exactly what I'm thinking. My Accord armrest is SO flimsy. It's already got a big crack in the top. I am planning on reinforcing it with fiberglass to make it really hold strong. I'm with you also, thinking that it's some cheezy aftermarket part...

We've got power locks, just not got that specfic switch to operate them seperately. Looks far more convenient than reaching for the button thing!

Anyway, another hijack... http://cgi.ebay.de/Honda-Accord-EX-31500-Kilometer_W0QQitemZ170062668905QQihZ007QQcategoryZ 9801QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
