so, now you get to ask yourself. did i make more money working than i would've saved if i would've taken a day off (or even better, vacation time) and done it myself? that's why i always do my own car work. :) anyway, sounds good. what kind of clutch did you toss in there?

yeah but if he's like me and my luck, it's never a one day job. You open it up and shit if it aint broken ten times worse than you thought, and half the parts have to be ordered and will take a day or two to arrive at the stealership, etc LOL.

I do my own work simply because I cant afford to have someone do it, and I dont trust the cheap places, hell I really dont trust the high end shops either for that matter. I have too high of standards for my repair work I guess lol.

BTW heres a pic of how to adjust the clutch pedal (Messy was asking me the other day and I forgot)

turn the adjuster nut clockwise to move the clutch engage point higher off the floor, counter clockwise to move it lower to the floor. I like the clutch to start engaging really close to the floor.. it'll feel really loose when it's like that though cause there's a lot of slack in the line when it's like that :)

i still dont understand why you puting in a ITR engine...when you can get a regular one and rebuilt it to ITR specs..unless you have a hook up.

what do you mean "regular one rebuilt to itr specs?" are you talking b18a/b with b16/b18c5 head or gsr motor with itr reworkings?

idk...the b18 i believe....but you can find the regular ones cheap and just rebuild it for more or equal hp than the ITR version.

snoopyloopy
01-04-2007, 01:47 PM
well both are b18 motors. the b18a/b is the base integra motor = ls/vtec. but a vtec head isn't necessarily a straight bolt on. there's a bit of machining involved to get it working quite right with the vtec mechanism. the gsr motor is b18c1. already vtec and 170 hp right there.

yeah so get the GSR b18c1 and rebuild it....it comes with 170hp? anyways the ITR is 190hp?
