View Full Version : What Do I Have to do to install a short ram in take on an 89 LX Model?

I need help figuring out how to get a short ram intake to fit in my car. I know the stick intake system won't work, so what should i look for/ buy to make it work? Thx for the Help!!! ~Jiggles07~

if you want something that just will bolt up, look for 86-87 prelude short ram intake on ebay. it will bolt up without cutting. it will have extra vacuum lines but you can plug them up since your car is 89.

you cant just put a intake on a carb...you need the civic air box mod...look it up it should be in the how to place.

LOL, i didn't see that you had carb.
you have to make adapter for the carb first before you can use any intakes.

noob lol i have a civic box that is untoched I got it for 30 make me an offer

a short ham is mostly pointless for a carbed, if you do a civic air box then you might as well do a cold air intake not ram air, if your just wanting the power and responce of a ram type intake then throw a K&N filter and flip your carb lid, or if you want some looks outa it then chop the air box.
