The FI engine is supposed to idle at 650 +/-50 rpm once it's warmed up. When my car is really car the fast idle might go as high as 1750 rpm.

some times, carb cars fast idle around 3K, its not a problem cause its just a fast idle. your lx-i idles fine. as long as it does not sputter and attempts to die, ur all fine. and please dont mess with the idle on a efi engine unless something is really messed up.

i was just saying that the high idle does not matter for a fast idle cause its part of the process that the engine warms up. and u dont have to mess with that on the efi, cause carb is a pain in the ass and u gotta mess with it cause they get lose from time to time, or even sticker. sorry alex.

check ur fuel pressure and see if its under allowable pressure. it also might be ur ecu is going haywire. look under the driver seat from behind it and lift the small flap over the ecu cover and see if the led blinks.
