Ok im seriously looking into this for reasons relating having more room for my soon to be upgraded air intake.

Ive been pondering the idea since i've already ran 1 - 2 gauge cable from the front to the back, that's was easy, so im thinking why not run a second one? or can I run the battery in the boot with only one cable for positive and ground the battery to the car?

or do i need to clamp my cables to both the + & - on the car and run them into the boot?

anyone done this before?

advice needed thanks

I ran 4 gauge + to the rear and grounded it in the trunk. I bought a kit with the tray and all. It works fine and i ran seperate ground and power lines off the side terminals of my optima batter to my power block to my amps. I will have pics soon or if i can find time to finish my install of the stereo setup.

that's kinda what I had in mind,

So what happens with the negative cable in the front?

Can i ground my amps to the same point the battery is grounded?

as long as the battery or amp is grounded to a metal part of the car, it should be good, but sometimes paint gets in the way, so it can help to have a bare metal spot
