of all the loads and loads of bullshit thats happened to me over the xmas holidays/new years i am now back and onto it... the other day i painted my car using silver zinc paint. i havent done the last coat and clear coat yet and theres still dents to be removed hertes some pix: : : :

its not rattly can its spray gun. the paint coat is perfect not patchy the fotos just look patchy cause of the light and i just painted it and its not completely dry and no not mugen wheels toyota corrolla wheels painted black.

i think the parts on there that turned out the best was the lhs fender, lhs doors, the hood and the rear bumper

Interesting.. I agree, sort of looks like a rattle can space suit. The color throws you off, kind of looking at a foil car. (weird) Well, if you not messing with the dents, spray some clear coat on it. That will catch some eyes. :omg:

I see that you did a lot of work. If thats the color u wanted, i would have sent you some Aluminum foil. LOL Definitely not feeling the trunk my man. not digging the color either, but once the clear coat goes on, it might look different.

I hate painting dents personally
That silver is refreshing, it reminds me of the early preludes, so you dont really see many straight up silver 3gen Accords. I like the color if it was clearcoated.
Hope you saved some paint to use as basecoat for the unfinished bodywork.

first fix dents, apply primer , then paint it will save you money that way, and make shure u use decent lightnig with silvers like that , you will end up with less "lines" general rule with silvers with spray guns , higher pressures give lighter silvers and lower pressures give darker , and also clear coat will make the paint looks the same if not then mabye a hair darker with silver

it looks nice. different, but nice. i think those rims make it look a little off. but then again, i can't think of many rims that'd go w/ the pj. and i'll jump on the "it looked better the other way" bandwagon right now. at least the pic in your sig and avatar, the paint looks stellar. but if it was past it's prime like mine is and the job is free, then yeah, nothing beats free paint.

Mmm. Car looks horrendous. Looked way better before.

Sorry for my honesty but theres no point in saying sweet nothings in my opinion.

Clear coat will do nothing for it but make all the defects stand out more and anyway, you should of laquered it whilst it was still masked up.

My advice... prep it back, fix the dents (if the repairs are gonna be 100% & if not just leave them) then MATT BLACK IT & go for a RAT LOOK!

Will look way better. Photoshop it if you don't believe me.

for #1 We don't all have the money to paint our cars, and we know you don't all have it either.

#2 It's all about personal taste, I think you made a good try, I don't like the trunk, but it's something NEW I think it would look better with 1988-89 NZ tails vs the JDM.

#3 I don't think you rattle can painted it to pimp the car out, If your dealing with rust and peeling paint like alot of other people do I can totally Understand.

It might not be a personal fav but :thumbup: for a good try and at least getting out and putting some effort into the car.

by the time you buy the rattle cans that spray good enough to look half way decent, you would have spent the same amount for a cheap paint job. You have done pretty good so far from what I see, why not buy an oiless air compressor and low pressure spray gun and use real car paint. Also use some tan high build primer next time, it will save you a bunch of time.

What kind of paint is that aluminum silver ? gp02 ?You may wind up stripping it all off for any other kind of paint to stick to it right.

yeah...my uncle is in the auto body bizz all i need to do is finish taking out some new dings and a dent....his wife just had twins so he is really busy im thinking of doing it over the summer when its warm since we might end up doing it in his garage.

i like the dark grey old colour my car was more than the silver but when my car decided to be primer grey grey black and 10 other shades of grey and black i decided to make it one colour. and yes next time it will be done properly so i might actually have a car tht will look nice
