I needed a bigger hub bearing so I can get a set of Driveshaft shop axles to handel the power. So I took a 91 Integra control arm and had it fit on my car and it worked. So if any one needed bigger brakes or anything else should try it. The only difference is that where the steering rack mounts to the knuckle is about 3/4 of a inch in towards the wheel. I hope this will help someone.

It will bolt up with no problem but I sent all my suspension parts to get powder coated. I will post pictures when I put it back together

so 91 integra spindles fit our cars, or just any integra from that generation?

are the brakes bigger on the integra?

You used the integra lower control arm and the integra spindle? Or only the spindle?

It has alittle bigger brakes and I used the whole arm, spindle and all

does the swap change the suspension geometry?

Johnny O
01-14-2007, 12:03 PM
It changes it alittle because the teg arm is 3/4'' longer , all mine suspension parts are adjustable.

can the accord arm be used, or must the teg arm be swapped in?

I don't understand the ?

I think he's asking if you can use only the teg spindle and use the accord upper and lower control arms.

I am still using the accord upper with the whole teg set-up spindle and all. Our axle spinles are the same as a teg

are the brakes bigger on the integra?

they're the same size and use the exact same caliper as the 88-89 lxi-sei

The caplier is different than the 87's but is 88 89 caplier bigger I am not sure.

i'm going to have to pull a set and take some measurements. the teg spindles may move the hub up or down a bit, giving the suspension a lift or a drop, depending.

yeah the 86-87 came with like 9 inch rotors and the 88-89 fuel injected came with 10.2 inch rotors

Honda Accord 88-89 lxi sei

Honda Prelude with fi 88-91

Acura Integra 90-93

Acura Legend 86-89

All these cars use the same caliper.

I found the same. I think I have the part still I will try and take a picture or 2 of what the differances are.

is the teg spindle shorter than the accord spindle? the pics seem to suggest that this is so. if this is the case, it will lower your car some, but it may cause undesirable handling.

Looks like you will be doing it,so let me know how it works out. LOL!

This will help the most with axel breakage.

I was giving this some thought, if the 88-89 lxi uses the same caliper as the teg, the rotors should be the same right?

If so, then what ever brake kit is available for the teg is theoretically available for the 88-89 lxi???

Well the rotor is slightly bigger. the 2nd teg rotor is 10.3" and the accord is 10.2" Not sure if i got the teg info correct but yeah. i think someone mentioned an offset?

The rotors are the same diameter but the offsets are different.

In the front, basically yes. The 'teg rotors have a smaller offset, so to use them you would need to add some washers or something to space the calipers out from the knuckle. The difference should be approximately 7mm.

The rear is an entirely different story of course.
