Well a buddy of mine has a 1990 civic that were going to make into a track car. Heres some pics of the progress.

That was as of about a week ago. Since then we have painted the whole interior black, mounted in a racing seat with 4-point harness, Hooked up like 8-10 gauges in a plexiglass panel, hooked up a power/kill switch with push button start. He has also ordered a rollcage and fuel cell.

Rebuilt motor with performance internals (he had it rev over 10,000RPMS plenty of times and 110+MPH in 3rd gear)

Suspension from a 99 civic
I will try to get some updated pics in the next couple days. He wants to do a turbo, tighted up the suspension a little, replace the glass with lexan. The front bumper is black at the top because he hit a deer doing 60MPH and had to fiberglass it all back togeather and primer it. Im not sure on specifics like the brand names on all the parts and suspension or what type of internals the motor has and the computer(its chipped also). If you have any specific questions that i cant answer ill ask him and get back to you. It should be a fun project to work on.

if hes replacing the glass with lexan he should probably lose the batmobile bodykit too...

I would definately loose the bodykit, and I hope you plan on turboing the d series motor, because thats a lot of money to spend on a car and still stick with a d-series, which can't make that much power NA.

looks like that blue paint went onto his car also lol 110 in 3rd is not bad , i know of many stock gen 2 rx-7's that can go up to 90 to 100 in 3rd

Hes going to be drag racing it. Yea, it is going to get turboed. The bodykit is probably going to stay on for the time being because hes trying to put as much money as he can towards performance and if he takes the kit off it needs to be repainted and the skirts are bonded to the car so that will take a little work to get off.

looks fairly nice. my buddy just bought an '88 civic hatch with the 1.6 ZC dual cam engine swapped in. runs pretty quickly. nice and light weight to begin with, i see you're taking full advantage of that.

yeah my friend in autobody class had a 91 si with the zc DOHC swaped engine...he took off real fast.

yeah, dohc zc is the ish. i want to get a 4g si or a 2g crx si and put a dohc zc and the other with a b-series. both turbo. my friend has said he beat a turbo focus sedan on the stock crx si engine and with someone in the car w/ him. those cars are quick.

yeah he also had fat fives with the same size tires as mine but he was lowered like 2 inches all around and it look fucking tits.

i wouldn't put it past him. he was a spirited driver and his car was a bit stripped.
