Oh yeah and it's mine....I don't know how much it cost me in total, i really don't want to know. I had some tuning issues but i think i got it all worked out.. Here are some pics.. I'm running 5lbs of boost right now. I will get the details of everything i'm running after i post pics.My whole setup consists of....

-SAFC 2
-wideband air/fuel ratio gauge(aem uego)
-autometer boost/vaccum gauge
-dsm 450 injectors(cleaned and balanced)
-dsm blowoff valve(stock)
-MSD 255lph fuel pump
-adjustable fuel pressure reg(fuel psi is currently at 32)
-fuel pressure gauge(thats how i know above)
-teo4 turbo
-elijahs old old manifold.
-msd 6al box
-msd blaster 2 coil
-ngk plugs/wires

As for the pipes on the side of the engine bay, they go into and out of my intercooler which i am not using right now... I just want to get a good tune before i go all out for HP... Tell me what you guys think?

cool to see the pics!
I would love some videos of the setup too!

If you want I can make you a page on www.a20turbo.com. LMK and we can discuss it more...

I am interested in the tune though, once you get some more tuning done, I would love detailed info on your settings for safc2 and btm...

Get that beast intercooled, and let us know how it goes! Can you feel any power with a rough 5psi tune?

Looking good. Any full car pics?

As far as power i can feel a pick up.. And as for only 5 lbs, that is all i have taken it too. I'm sure it is good for more because the DSM blow off valve is something like 8-9 right? I have a question on the SAFC though? Does anyone know how to set the decel - air flow feature. I tried to mess with it and the car just dies at like 1000 rpm. I ask this because i got 2 mean back fires at decel from like 3000 rpm. And i'm not yet running the btm because i don't think it is any good but we will see... I like the blow off valve going off though.

i havent messed with the decel settings. cant help you there...

a dsm bov (if crushed) can handle 18-20psi, stock i think they are easily good to 15psi though unless you have a weird one. :)

Nice set up, any idea on how much hp and torque your putting down?

I just drove it like 10 miles on the freeway and everything seems good... the exhaust temps haven't gotten any hotter than 800 degrees at 3000 rpm at 5 lbs boost, this seems good...

looking good looking good. and yeah, stock 1g dsm bov is pretty good. the 2g dsm and evo 8 guys upgrade to them. i think they hold somewhere in the neighborhood of 18-20#.

where is your egt probe? i placed mine 2" from the head on my NA header, but I was seeing like 1300-1400 degrees not even pushing the car. :( but I do know that my tune is wayyy off. :)

so.....are you going to be coming to the meet? lol...you better say yes! you live like a city next to me. i would love to see how your setup turned out...if not, you know where i work so whenver you want to stop by!

Well my EGT probe may be a little low but the instructions said 6"-7" from the turbo... Mine may be like 8" or so... I'll have to look at the thread for the meet to see when and where.

Nice work, I can't wait to get my turbo installed now that I've got all of the kinks worked out of my fuel management.

Your egt's do seem a little low I run about 1330 deg at 3 grand. Are you running Lean?

nice wastegate actuator your running lol :) How much boost are you planning to go with and is the engine just stock?

As for boost all i have so far is 7 lbs, i think it won't get anymore because that damn spring is letting off pressure. The car runs great, it accelerates very fast. The engine is basically stock but i do have some things done to it. I got a 3 angle valve job done, port and polished exhaust side(not ported too much). The bottom end is all balanced and blue printed. Bored over .030 over but pistons are oem replacements( hyperutectic i think)BAD SPELLING. TOGA High volume oil pump. Thats about it for the engine.

I want to start off by saying not bad for you'r first try.It can only get better from here.
are you willing to hear alittle constructive critisisum? if not that's cool.

yeah why not.... just to let all you guys know though i didn't really do this for HP right now i kinda just wanted to do it so i could have a one of a kind. I will worry about numbers later after i get my smog again in about a year and when i have money to not worry about blowing the motor. So yeah, but i'm down to hear some constructive critisizm from those who know about turbo'd A20s.

Yeah Jerry is the turbo genius lol.

no i am just hard headed....:banghead: lol.

pic#7 shows the wide band o2 sensor. is that jb weld around the bung?
jb weld tends to burn off after awhile.(thus loosing a $150 sensor)(I may be wrong about it being jb weld)
it looks to me that you'r egt is way too low. it should be wthin 12"of the head. everyone i know has it in or around the collector.(right or wrong i dont know)
in the pic where the paint is discolored on you'r down pipe, that is where your exhaust is tuned.
when you upgrade pipe cut it where the discoloration ends then go 3" from there. if you upgrade the intake,tb,or do head work you'r tune will change.

pic#9 guages.
bad placement. you dont ever want to look down when in a race street or strip. If you do alittle research you can find pillar pods for 2 or 3 guages. The 2 seconds it takes you to read the afr guage you could have hit a parked car or a kid crossing the street.

splitloom and wire ties my brother! can i get a halilula...lol

the one thing i laerned the hard way is to soldier all connections when it comes to management. it is cool to use butt connectors on a stereo but it will save hours in trouble shooting ecu wiring.

those bends and couplers you are using were not made for boost or vacume.
their for sewer lines. their cool when you are all excited and want to go for a quick run (i've been there) but they expand and contract too much to get a good reading. think about the map sensor here.
they are not leagal at any race track.

ooh! i almost forgot.
the spring. get a external wastegate or a actuator. you'll get more consistant boost pressure, plus it will give you an opertunity to get a boost controller.

dont forget to get the btm in before you burn the pistons.

i hope i was'nt too hard on you.

i was lucky to have a friend around that pointed out the things i needed to change.

good luck.:)

use 2 step colder plugs and use a btm to pull out some ignition timing, youll start making some good power at 8-9 psi boost. Awesome project though, it looks like a pretty decent setup, only thing i can say is you should upgrade from that shitty TEO4H to a T3 42/48 as its pretty much a drop in/bolt in replacement to your setup plus the efficiency will be better suited to the a20. 2 other suggestions: Hook up your intercooler, itll make a big difference, Second suggestion is to take that vortech fmu you have on there, and put it on ebay and put the stock fpr right back in there.
