Hello!
I am looking for an aftermarket replacemet carpet for my 3gee, however I wanted to get some opinions first...

I found a website www.stockinteriors.com and they have a kit for the 3gee (they are also the only ones on ebay)
They run $115 and they have a lot of colors and styles and you can choose for extra plush (+$66, only some colors) and some rubber backing (+$60) as options.
I was turned off by the sample squares they sent me, the hairs come off too easily... i am hoping this is just an issue with the samples.... the samples are regular, not the extra plush. I've got my eye on #8945, a really dark grey.

If you have had success with an aftermarket carpet that fits right and isn't bald after a year (or if it is!) please let me know thanks!!

^^only cost me $15 to do my whole car at the wholesale carpet place. I ripped out the backseats and did my custom job!

that stuff is crap, though. it's worse than the $0.50 cent a square astroturf you buy for your dogs.

the one in the hatchback that i had for so long and finally fixed had a nice replacement carpet installed. "doug" was his username here. the carpet looked factory.

i'm also looking for a good replacement carpet for my accord. i used some marine carpet to replace my original, but its not as nice as what it came with. i'd rather have a molded carpet so it looks cleaner.

I'm going to be going with auto carpet originals, they always come out to the big rod and custom show here in moultrie. I've been to their booth a couple of times, and i was impressed. they seem to have good quality carpets and they also have a wide range of styles. the represenetive that was here last also knew about the different floor pans in our cars. they can also make a nice set of floor mats out of the same lot carpet, and put accord or whatever you want on them. good investment to protect your carpet and they look factory.
