i am always up for a good meet. i would host, but honestly my new house just isnt a good one for car meets. :( no where to park or check out cars without blocking the whole street.

i am good for anything from oly to portland though. hell i would even do a wilsonville (fry's) meet, but i think there are more people up in wa that are active 3g's people...

but some oregon peeps like alex and zeph will probably come...

Seriously though, there's gotta be a good place in Portland to meet up. There's some good McMenamins restaurants around there... Maybe an upcoming car show would be appropriate, since we all love cars.

Took me 12 hours from Olympia to San Fran... I know it's 2 1/2 hours to Bellingham from here and another 4-5 from San Fran to LA... I suppose 14 isn't unreasonable if you're going balls to the wall....

But anywho. We should do it in Portland. Are there any car museums or some kind of cool factories we could take a tour of? Maybe we could find an autocross event to meet up at (Portland International Raceway, anybody?) and we can all run our cars too! That's always a good time!

Oooh we could even find some kind of car show to meet up at and we can all go look at the cars! That would be sweet!

No, there's no car museums that I know of. There's racing almost every weekend at PIR of some sort, but not for a few more months still.

we should just shoot for portland if the nw people are down with the drive, i don't think its worth it to do a cali meet for us up in washington. for one, i dont want to drive 10-12-14-20 hours, but also nobody takes these meets seriously, and only 1/2 the people actually show up. which makes it even less worth the drive. :)

but yeah i agree we should go down and check out a PIR event sometime. :)

I still say Portland. There hasn't been a NW meet yet that I've seen. I say we meet up at an autocross event in Portland:

It's Sunday, March 25th at Portland International Raceway.

I think I'm going to go to this event regardless, since I'd like to try out the Portland SCCA course anyways. But I figure afterwards we can BS for a while, check out some other drivers cars, grab food, etc. This way it doesn't have to be hosted at somebody's house. And we could cruise around Portland a bit.

I think that Portland is the best middle ground for Oregonians and Washingtonians as well. The concentration of members seems to be closest to Portland...

I'm not 100% sure about the price, but it's usually around $35 if you don't pre-register. I don't see anywhere on thier site though specifically. I gotta read up on the Oregon Region Solo II events... Will post more info tonight.

I agree on the autocross aspect. That would be something we could participate in, and put our results on the site! Participation is much more exciting than observation. I say we try and find an autox event in June and see what we can come up with... Even Hillsboro/Beaverton/Milwaukie/Wilsonville/etc or anything in the Portland Metro area I would think should work.
