can anyone tell me where the "air jet controller" is,I found a mention of it in the haynes book... " a malfunctioning air jet controller normally causes a excessively rich mixture (black smoke from the tail pipe) and poor engine performance"...there is a cut away drawn diagram of it and says the location is ..."located on the engine side of the fire wall next to the control box"....I can't find it. Plus I checked the chiltons manual in the emission control diagrams and found it there but I still can't find it visually in the engine bay.

Maybe your car is not equipped with one.
My car doesn't have:
- air jet controller
- idle bust controller
- anti-afterburn system
- feedback control system
- frequency solenoid valve C
And I thought my car has way to many vacuum lines. I can't imagine a car with that the extra stuff I don't have. Actually I feel better now.. :D :D :D

look for a cylinder with a square face... and 3 ports with vacuum line coming out of it... the lines are labled A B C
