well make sure you have enough brake fluid. That light connects to the brake fluid reservoir and e-brake.

Pulling Fuses and undoing your E-Brake cuz you Brake lite stays on: $0 but alot of work

Taking your E-Brake switch out and still the light stays on $0 but ALOT OF WORK

Going on a online forum and asking about this to find out all you needed to do was check your brake fluid: PRICELESS!

uihhh..better check the brake pads, they might be near metal...and when you put the new ones in use a turkey baster to pull some of the fluid out before you recompress the pistons, or it _will_ overflow

if the fluid is low you have a leak or your pads are very worn
Look at the inside of the tire, if you see oil streaks spanning like spokes from the rim you found the leaky side.
Make sure the bleeders are snug if you did any brake work recently
Oil leak on the front usually means the caliper's piston lost its seal, get a new caliper.
Oil leak on the rear is usually low pads combined with under-adjusted spacing causing the pistons to overshoot and leak... or the pistons are old and need replacing.
Brake light comes on if the ebrake is on or the fluid is low (sometimes lol, I don't think mine notices)
good luck

it there a fuse to pull to kill the light. i have the same problem. i just replaced my front calipers and rotors, new pads. new rear drum pistons and shoes. my fluid is always the same and my light stays on?
